(Hi, so it's been a few days since I saw the Jokers and Sal waved at me...apparently, there were TV cameras in the back, so possibly another live show was filmed??? Let me just tell y'all I have Post Jokers Depression...I really miss them. Anyhow I hope you like this chapter.)
Haley's POV
I looked towards the window and saw the guys and Ang with concerned looks on their faces. I glanced over to Kerri quickly and saw she was the closest to the basement doors. "K, you need to open those doors, now." K quickly ran to them and I saw a clown start running towards us. I rolled my eyes and raised my gun. I aimed at the clown and fired. I saw out of the corner of my eye that K got the doors open. "Okay K, get our shotguns." She disappeared into the basement and more clowns came running at us. Bes, Rose, and I kept shooting at them until we saw that we were out of bullets. Bes and Rose looked at me with scared eyes and I just threw my gun to the side. "Haley! What the hell are you doing?" Bessy yelled at me. I smiled a small smile and calmly said, "I'm gonna fight them. It was nice knowing you guys. I love you." With that, I started walking to the clowns and raised my fists.
"Come on you bastards! I mean I don't understand why people dressed as clowns scare people, but whatever. Now come on you bitches!" I saw the clowns had machetes and gulped. I heard the side door open and saw Sal standing on the porch. I mouthed to him, "I love you." Tears shined in his eyes and he slowly walked down the stairs. He walked to me, grabbed my hand, and started pulling me to the porch. I pulled my hand away and saw Kerri walk over and hand me a gun. I took it and stepped back off the porch. The clowns started doing their creepy laugh and they all started running towards us. I started shooting at them and they dropped to the ground.
"Ow, fuck!" I heard Rose yell. I looked over at her and saw she got stabbed in the leg. I quickly ran to her and helped her into the house. I took her gun and shove it into Q's hands. I nodded towards the door and he followed me out. "Why did you give me the gun?" I laughed and shook my head, "Because I remember when I went to your live show in Atlantic City you said you would never kill an animal, but people were different, except for women and then Sal said kids better run from you." (Omg guys, I died from laughing at that when Q said that.) Q looked confused and stopped me from walking off the porch. "Wait, I thought you didn't come to our live show." I shrugged, "I guess I forgot I went there all though I can't believe I did because Sal waved to me."
Q chuckled and then we both stepped off the porch. We then started shooting at the rest of the clowns and when I shot the last one, we sighed in relief. Bes, K, and Q walked down into the basement and I closed the door and locked it. I then shut the cellar doors and locked them. I walked inside and locked the sliding door. We made sure all the windows and doors were locked then turned off the lights. "Alright, there are six beds in this house. Sal and I get the master bedroom," I pointed over my shoulder, "So some of y'all have to share a bed because there's five left and seven of you." Bessy and Joe looked at each other and they went to the other room with the queen sized bed. Q sighed and mumbled, "Guess I'm sleeping with the ferret." Murr grumbled and went to the third room with Q following behind. The girls followed them, smiling that they got their own beds. I rolled my eyes and pulled Sal with me to our room with the king-sized bed. I was the only one who had comfortable clothes on and I snuggle deeper into the sweatshirt I stole from Sal.
Sal took his clothes off except for his boxers and got into bed. He quickly fell asleep and I couldn't sleep at all. I opened the bedroom door quietly and then shut it behind me. I looked at the clock and saw it was two in the morning. I sighed and went out onto the porch to have alone time. I heard footsteps inside the house and turned around to see Joe step out too. He shut the door and sat down at the table. I sat down with him and leaned my head on his shoulder. I could hear Joe's heart beating and it comforted me to know that he was here for me. I lifted my head and looked at Joe with a smirk. The light from the moon shined in Joe's face and I could see the confusion in his eyes. "You wanna go on a ride with me?" I asked with curiosity. Joe cautiously nodded and I took his hand in mine. I led him back into the house and we quietly went into the room where most of us were sleeping. I opened the closet door and grabbed two helmets. I handed one to Joe and we quietly shut the bedroom door. I led him to the front door and grabbed the keys that go to the automatic four-wheeler.
We went back outside and I opened the shed doors. I pulled my phone out of my sweatshirt pocket and turned the flashlight on. Joe and I squinted at the brightness and I handed him my phone. He backed up and I yanked the camo four-wheeler out of the shed. I looked to see if it needed gas and smiled when it didn't. I put my helmet on and Joe did the same. We buckled them and I got on. Joe got behind me and held onto my waist. I then handed Joe a pair of glasses and he put them on. I put mine on, turned the four-wheeler on and waited for it to warm-up. Once it did, I took off up the driveway. Joe tightened his grip around me and I smiled because I knew this was his first time on one. Joe and I went off into our own world and no one could stop us.
