Hollow rolled out of Obito's grasp and onto the ground, scrambling to her feet and towards the door. She knew it wouldn't take him long to recover, but every second counted. She had to be diligent. She had to escape. Hollow had no doubt that her statement had probably angered him, even if it was true. She did know Rin, and Rin just so happened to be a ghost. Surely he wouldn't kill her for revealing the truth... right?

Obito seemed to snap out of it just as Hollow threw the door open, bounding off down the hall. Her bandaged feet made a wet smacking sound as the blood soaked through them, but she didn't care. Hikari was working hard to null the pain. She just had to find someone: anyone, really. Dead or alive, she had to locate someone that could help her.

Hikari let out a large flare of chakra that illuminated the hall briefly. She was no doubt trying to get someone to notice them. To sense the large burst of power and to come running to see where it came from. Hollow didn't stop, nonetheless, and just as she turned the corner she saw Obito. He was walking, his orange mask in place. He seemed so calm. Hollow knew he could catch her at any moment if he wanted to. Surely, he could. He was strong.

Whether he was choosing to let her get ahead or not, that didn't slow Hollow down. If anything, it made her go faster as she tried to bump up the low chance of survival. Twisting and turning, she wasn't too sure where she was going, nor where she would end up, but she had to try. Hollow wasn't sure why she wanted to live so badly. All she knew is that she craved survival, like any other human being might. It had to be a natural instinct, Hollow assumed as she turned to corner, nearly sliding into a wall as the blood caused her to slip and slide on the concrete.

Hollow could feel Obito approaching. She knew it had to be him: that large source of energy that seemed to draw ever closer to where she was. He was playing with her, but that's only because he didn't realize what her plan was. What her hope, and main goal happened to be. Desperately, she wanted to find someone. He most likely thought she was just aimlessly running in a futile attempt to escape the base she was in. But she wasn't trying to leave. Hollow was just looking for someone to hide behind. To use as a human-shield of sorts.

Turning the corner, Hollow found herself face to chest with none other than Shisui, who let out a rather dramatic gasp. The rainbow haired girl nearly collapsed with relief as he lifted her up.

"Hollow!" He cheered, hugging her to his body in a way that was both protective and triumphant. Hollow wheezed, trying to catch the breath she'd lost running. "I found her!" Shisui hollered, turning around and zooming straight down the hall far faster than Hollow could ever run.

The girl was too tired to be scared. She simply clung to him with all the energy she had left, gulping down deep breaths.

"Thank goodness!" Midori cried, drifting speedily out of a wall. Sasodai, Rin and Yahiko followed close behind, their eyes full of relief.

"Did he hurt you?" Rin immediately asked. Hollow didn't have a chance to answer. Rin's eyes went to the tired girl's feet, and she let out a loud gasp. "Your feet!" She all but screamed, her hands coming up to cover her mouth. Hollow shuddered, trying not to think about it.

"Shit... alright, let's take her back to Itachi. He won't let her go again." Shisui sighed sadly, gazing down at Hollow. He wished he could have done something to help her.

"Oh, let me hold her." Midori fussed, softly taking Hollow from a reluctant Shisui. The woman cradled the girl in a way only a mother could, shushing her as she began to cry softly, not even realizing it herself.

"Tobi is a good boy!" The Akatsuki man bounced around the corner, eliciting a couple of shrieks from Shisui and Yahiko. Hollow jolted, her chakra pulsing. In an instant, Midori's feet were on the ground. The woman went stock still, her eyes widening. Obito paused, staring at the woman who looked a lot like a deer caught in headlights. This was no doubt Sasori's mother. Obito had done his research on all the members who joined the Akatsuki.

"Interesting." He rumbled in his normal voice. Midori looked to her ghostly friends.

"Run!" Rin screeched when Obito began to walk again. Midori jolted, muttering one last reassuring statement to Hollow before taking off down the passageway. She knew this was a serious situation, but she couldn't help but savor the feeling of solid ground under her feet.
