Everything was pitch black.

"Ghosts, then? Interesting." A deep voice chuckled, echoing about the space in a way that made Hollow shiver. The girl glanced around nervously, her face pale with fear. Clearly, this Obito guy was bad news. She wished she'd had the courage to fight back. The strength, to resist. It upset her to know she'd been taken so easily. But she couldn't think about that now. She had to focus on getting out of here. Out of this place.

"E-Er... yes." Hollow cleared her throat slightly, trying her best not to stutter. It didn't really work, and her voice shook. It was a dead giveaway to how absolutely afraid she was. At least she was trying, so that had to count for something. Maybe. Hopefully. If not, then Hollow really had nothing going for her. She could play the small, innocent card, but Tobi... Obito, didn't seem like a merciful person.

"I won't let anything happen to you." Hikari assured. In an instant, a warm chakra surrounded the area, illuminating the room. The golden glow originated from Hollow, who squeaked in surprise, gazing around. The walls and floors were concrete, evidence that they hadn't left the Akatsuki's hideout. They were in some sort of bedroom. If she could stall long enough, maybe the ghosts would find her.

"Interesting. I see you've got a passenger on board." The voice didn't seem to be coming from anywhere in particular. "A little beast is in you, then? Not a tailed one, of course, but something..."

"H-Hikari isn't a m-monster." Hollow's voice, while shaky and stutter-y, was firm. Obito let out another chuckle, lifting slowly from the floor. His mask wasn't on, revealing his scarred face, and his one Sharingan eye. Hollow stared at him curiously. He resembled Itachi and Shisui, and his red eye was the same as Itachi's were. The man seemed innately intimidating, with his tall stature and reasonably-large frame. Hollow swallowed thickly.

"Hikari, you say? The name, I admit, doesn't strike me as all that scary." He fell back onto the bed, catching himself with his arms. He propped himself up with them, folding one leg over the other. He gave Hollow a terrifying grin. "Do you know my name?" He questioned, his mismatched eyes meeting hers. Hollow tried to meet them readily, with confidence. She couldn't hold his gaze for long.

"Y-You're Obito..." Hollow gulped in a jittery sort of way. ("Uchiha." Hikari added.) "Uchiha." Hollow finished shakily. Obito's eyes flashed, and he grinned in a way that made it seem as though he lacked a large majority of his sanity. Hollow shivered and backed up, her feet aching. She could feel the blood seeping into the bandages.

"You'll be... useful. Who all have you met, dear?" He stood up, rocking on the balls of his feet. Hollow eyed him cautiously, pressing herself against the wall. Her eyes searched for a door only to see that there were two identical ones. One was most definitely a closet, and the other, her chance at freedom. One was right next to her. The chances of Obito setting her near a door that actually led out of the room were small, so she had to assume that it was actually a closet.

"This man... is being influenced by an outside force. I can feel it. There's an illusion, and it's over his mind. It's... changing something. I'm not sure how to remove it. I'm not close enough. We'd have to be in contact with any region near the brain. The temples would be best." Hikari said, her eyes narrowing. She reached her chakra further, the light in the room brightening and expanding. Obito didn't even flinch as it shined directly into his eyes, gazing at Hollow with cold, almost morbid curiosity. The girl worked hard not to flinch.

"Well?" He took a step closer. Hollow scooted closer to the corner. Getting herself cornered in a small room wasn't ideal, but her chances of escaping without outside help were virtually nonexistent, leaving her to fend for herself with only Hikari's advice to guide her.

"Don't tell him anything unless you have to, okay?" Hikari said, preparing for the worst. Hollow nodded, shaking slightly as Obito approached her.

"Don't be afraid, little one." Obito cooed, leaning down to her height. His body had to tilt at an angle not far off from being ninety degrees. Hollow was small, especially huddled up against a wall.

"P-Please..." Hollow stuttered weakly. Obito smiled, reaching out his hand. The rainbow-haired boy flinched as his large, gloved hand came in contact with her head. He ruffled her hair. Hollow let out a squeak.

"You're a cute little thing." Obito lifted her up before she could react. Hollow froze, her eyes widening. "A tad bit timid, but a cute kid."

Hollow blinked at him, a bit curious now. How odd. He was not being... violent, per say. Perhaps more than a little creepy, and a bit threatening, but he wasn't being particularly harmful towards her. Hollow knew he was just trying to lure her into... into... what was it called? A false sense of safety... security. It was definitely security.

"So, what ghosts have you seen, Hollow?" Obito rumbled, spinning her around while humming. Hollow stared at his scarred face with a rather fearful look. She opened her mouth to speak. Hikari sucked in a sharp breath, and Obito turned to her, looking perky as a puppy. He waited patiently and expectantly, plopping down on the bed with her in his lap. She said something that made him freeze.

"Rin."
