"Um, Lapis? How did you-" Lapis smiled heartily while Peridot interrupted the gem hybrid

"Isn't this great Steven?! Lapis wanted a change in her 'hair' shape but since we need to dissepate her form before getting her desired form I just changed her 'hair color'!" Peridot began to ramble on about the overly complex methods on how she had managed to change Lapis's hair. Lapis gave a nonchalant hair flip before continuing to read her magazine. Steven silently nodded and watched Peridot talk happily. After the third hour of her explanation, Steven's eyes shifted elsewhere, specifically to another strange alteration that Lapis had. Her right arm had a well wrapped amount of tissue with multiple stickers and sharpie doodles. Steven tapped Peridot on her shoulder and pointed to Lapis's arm

"Peri, whats that?" Steven questioned. "um, SCIENCE stuff, yes um-"

"I just fell down the cliff"Lapis intervened quickly...A bit too quickly

"The...cliff?"

"Yes, Peridot helped me" Lapis faced away while her green roommate smiled akwardly, beads of sweat visible. Steven was brought to his limit and took Peridot towards the barn, finally letting out his frustration

"What are you hiding?!" Steven cried. Peridot guiltily looked to the side and sighed

"Its nothing Steven, its nothing-"

"Stop lying to me!" Steven pointed to her face, not willing to break face once more he crossed his arms and faced away once more. Peridot slowly began to bring her hand towards his face but he slapped it away. She clenched, feeling her anger rising as she yelled "I want it to be a suprise okay! You just had to know everything when I'm not ready! Can't you respect my business!" They felt the world hollow around them as they began to argue, the world growing dark and large skyscraper stones tower above them. Their lush green grass suddenly became Gray stone and their beautiful pink sunset was now nothing but dark skies, covered with thick clouds that lit up with thunder.

"Well I'm still not sure if you want to leave me or not!"

"Thats not yours to control!"

"I'm in your life! Of course I need to be aware !"

"Well maybe I want privacy!"

"Maybe you would've gotten it if it didn't feel like you were plotting against me all the time!"

"Can I ask you to just trust me, you clod!"

"No! Not anymore!"

"Don't talk to me like that! You're just a nosy clod!"

"Well if you mean it maybe I don't need you!" Peridot flinched, struggling to make a comeback.

"Well I maybe I don't need you either!"
"Good!"

"Good!"

"And stay outta my life!" They said at the same time, both at the same time- with the same realization. The thunder came to a close as the stones buried themselves back into the ground, the grass growing once more and the sky becoming a beautiful ceru

"I-I'm sorry" Steven whispered, embracing Peridot as she melted into it

"I just want you to tell me..." Steven whispered once more, clutching onto Peridot perfectly shaped hair. Peridot clutched onto Steven's shirt as well

"Soon, but for now you need to wait" She smirked before finishing "You clod". Steven laughed heartily and sent him and her crashing into the grass, falling asleep

"Is it really okay to take it off?"

"Yeah, he deserves to atleast know whats under the bandage"

under the bandage was not a bruise, bot a spot of pinkish flesh

Okay, so sorry for not updating ;-; . But school's just a nightmare. Anyway just a special shoutout to Leopaws_YT since they actually got the hair reference and inspiration from LateLiz's Stevidot book: This Feeling is Getting Weirder since it gave me inspiration to make another chapter
