Part 7

"Stevveeeey" a high-pitched but somehow silent voice whispered

Steven groaned

"Steven, Steven wake up" the voice whispered again

Steven slowly opened his eyes and saw the outline of a green figure with triangle hair

"P-Peridot!?" he said happily, he looked around; he and the green gem were in his house with Garnet, Pearl, Amethyst and Lapis.

"Were home" she and the others embraced him in a tight hug

"W-wait, I...I went to look for you and..." he looked around dissapointed

"This is not real, is it?" he said. They all sighed deeply

"You can't even have fun in your dreams bro?" Amethyst said as she sat up, "We all miss you, you know we do"

"I-im sorry its just that.."Steven shrugged and they nodded

"What will you do?" Pearl asked

"Hm, I want to wake up" He said proudly. The dream- gems accepted that, and let Steven get out.

...

Steven gasped for air as he woke, the sight of a clean blue ceiling out of crystal greeted him. He bent over to observe, and found a Ruby silently eyeing him. Steven tried to wave a hello, but the Ruby growled in response. 

"Um, excuse me but why am I here?" he asked

"to go back where you belong"as if on que, the door slid open and a  Peridot with a gem on her head walked in sighing

"so this is my missio-"She froze in place, her limb enchancers too"STEVEN!? YOUR MY MISSION?"

"Peridot!" he raced to her and hugged her leg "Let's go hooome!" he cried

the Ruby glared at the green gem, she bent down and whispered to Steven

"Steven, lower your voice I think that Ruby wants to kill you" he glanced to the Ruby, she clenched her fists and glared- hehe  nodded

"Listen we need to go NOW" she exaggerated and took Steven's hand and dragged him out. All gems turned in their direction once they passed

"w-where are we going?" he said as Peridot led them both to a ship

"YOUR HOME" she said irritated. Steven struggled to get his hand out, but to no avail. They made it to the ship. As Peridot carried Steven on a chair and put him there

"Stay here, I need to operate the ship"

"But-"

"STAY" she hissed, she realized who she was yelling to and softened her voice

"I-Im sorry its just hard to get used to this, you just need to get home"he sat silent

"Just stay here, please?" he nodded 

"thank you" she walked out and left the door open "If you require anything of assistance..."

"I can call you" Steven smiled, she smiled back

Peridot's POV

its been an hour since the ship took off it already feels depressing- It really does feel lonely on ships like these

But why didn't I feel that before? must've been the fact that I had no friends

emphasis on HAD no friends. I gained alot

and I have none again

well, I guess Steven's here- oh wait

He's technically leaving too. It will be a long ride back to earth, hm... what if I...

I lightly unscrew my limb enchancers, sure they were locked tight but a Peridot like me can lock them in again easy. There it was, my 'real' hand, I started with my other limbs too- Im not sure why I would do this... probably just missing Earth

"Peridot?" oh no

"S-STEVEN! I Uh I-"

"It's okay, I know you miss being free" he sits down next to me

"you know I was really scared of you back then because of your limb enchancers, but you did look pretty cool" he said as he watch the screen show countless stars and planets move by slowly

"Well it is also done to threaten other races I guess" 

and there we were, he didn't feel like my 'mission' anymore

he was still my friend, he wanted me back home

"Steven?" I blurted

"mhm?"

"why did you come for me? I mean you know, you'll get killed out there" i said

"I need you back"

i was silent

"your'e part of my home" he added

"Steven, I didn't belong there. Homeworld was and IS my home" i tried to avoid his face

it was silent. Then i felt a bunch of touch stumps close in on me and hug my torso tightly

"home is where family is" he leaned his head on me

i hugged him back, I did want to be home

but what do I do?

I buried my head into his shoulder and crawled up

"I'm scared"

"me too" he said and retracted his head and got closer to my face and he.. he...

...he kissed me
