Days have passed, maybe even weeks.
The torture never ended though. But luckily they took Leonardo out of the room because he needed to continue his 'research' on the apple so they didn't hurt him too much. This brought you some solace, though your hope for rescue was slowly fading.

Minutes started to feel like hours and hours started to feel like days. Your wounds started to get infected and started to cause a fever which caused you to slip in and out of consciousness. This didn't help you keep track of time at all.

You noticed though, that you have been alone for quite some time now. The only one who 'visited' you was the guy who brought you a piece of stale old bread and a cup of water. They rarely fed you. Maybe like every two to three days which left you awfully skinny and weak.
You didn't have any energy left to heal your wounds and slowly became unable to keep your head up. You decided that since you were left alone for now that it would be best to get some sleep to restore some much needed energy while really hoping they wouldn't wake you up soon since they would rarely let you sleep since you got here.

-A few hours or so later-

Sounds of falling metal and muffled screams awoke you from your slumber. You tried to figure out what it was but since you were tied to a chair that was chained to the ground you didn't get very far. The noise grew louder which made you anxious. You tried to escape, which obviously you couldn't or you would have already, or at least get something to defend yourself. But, again, being tied to a chair you didn't have much choice and are forced to await your faith and just hope for the best. Maybe the Templars decided to have some sort of weird party? Like a screaming contest while throwing their swords against the ground?

While you were contemplating what was happening outside the room, you have been so nicely residing in, you noticed the noise was really close to you now. You held your breath in hopes of them not hearing you and would just leave you alone.

"Non si muova!" You heard someone yell. Which resulted in some noises of shuffling feet on the ground. "Stai lì!" You heard the sound of metal being unsheathed and then a loud thump on the floor.
You feared for the worst and just stopped breathing and closed your eyes hoping it would all go away.
But faith had other plans for you...

You heard a key unlocking the door followed by an horrendous creaking sound from the door being opened. You heard someone hurry towards you and you just started to tremble. It seemed like your whole life flashed before your eyes. I mean: who would've thought you would die in some foggy old, gross dungeon filled with weirdos? Certainly not you, or not until now.

"Grazie a Dio!" You heard someone cry. You recognized this voice or rather HIS voice. "Ti ho trovato!" He exclaimed as he stepped in front of you. He frowned but had a weird sad smile plastered on his face when he saw you. His robes and face were covered in blood and dirt as sweat trickled down his face. This didn't bother you though. You were just glad it was him and not someone who was going to slit your throat or something. "Oh my god Ezio!" You choked out and tears started to fill your eyes and you started to sob. "I'm glad to see you too Y/N but we don't have time for sentimentalities right now..." He said as he started to unchain you from the chair. "Can you walk bella?" He asked you softly. "Ehm... I don't know..." You croaked out as you stood up and tried to walk. Sadly your legs were too weak to carry you after all this time and gravity didn't have mercy for you at all as you started to descend to the ground. You closed your eyes and waited for the impact. But it never came as a strong arm wrapped around you and pulled you up.

"Don't worry Y/N. I'll carry you." He whispered and started to carry you out the room, bridlestyle. You were very much exhausted from everything that happened and couldn't keep your head up any longer and just let it rest against Ezio's chest.

As you were being carried around the hallways you freaked out and tried to get out of Ezio's hold. His hold on you was too strong though, so you just wriggled around frantically. "Where's Leonardo?! We can't leave him Ezio! We need to go back and get him!" You cried as tears started to stream down your face. "Do not worry Y/N, he is save. A friend of mine is taking care of him right now." This calmed you down enough to put your head back on his chest. "Thank you Ezio..." You whispered as you softly yawned. "Ssh Y/N. You're safe now, just get some rest." He said softly as you were already drifting away into a dreamless sleep.
