Daily Sagittarius Horoscope
May 20, 2010

Today is your day Sagittarius. If you
didn't wake up feeling on top of the world
then you should roll over and give it another
try. Release positive energy into the world
and it is sure to come back to you!

Emma was up three hours before she was due to be at work. She showered and fixed herself a generously strong cup of coffee to ward off the sleep before she went over the recipes she's found on the internet the night before. She'd made a batch of almond bars already and she thought they were pretty good since she couldn't cook to save her life. She could barely boil water and had grown quite accustomed to living off of simple things like TV dinners and fast food. Sometimes she would make something easy like spaghetti but nine times out of ten she screwed it up one way or another. She could fry a mean egg though..

The butter balls were what took up the majority of her time. She found them impossible and after the second set of three were done and she thought they were despicably soggy and greasy she was ready to give up. She gave them one more try and added a little brown sugar because she thought she was cool like that. It worked as it happened. She made four.

The lemon squares were her favorite just because it was the only recipe that Emma had mastered that weekend. They were her pride and joy, sprinkled with powdered sugar and cut into perfect little shapes. She put them all in individual containers and left them on the counter so she wouldn't forget them when she left for the office.

She felt proud of herself. And she'd spent twenty four hours away from the flirting boss so Emma was empowered with stubborn peace and she was determined to not let anything he said, no matter how eluding or odd it seemed, bother her. He could call her whatever he wanted today and she wouldn't be as affected as she was that night at dinner. She'd been, for lack of better terminology, jerking off all weekend and she felt spent. She couldn't possibly be turned on by him. If she had another orgasm it might hurt.

With her mind made up, she dressed herself in a knee length beige skirt and a white button down blouse. She rolled the sleeves up under her elbows and slipped on red pumps for the hell of it. She wore fashionable casual gold jewelry and whatever purse her wallet happened to be in at the time. She grabbed her three plastic containers off the cabinet and left with a smile. She felt on top of the world that day.

It was probably because she was useless in the kitchen and she'd made three edible things. When she got to work twelve minutes early, she hurried to the service elevator.

Bobby wasn't coming in until noon that day, which meant she had no one to try her tasties before she took them into Trey's office. She dropped her belongings in her office and checked his voicemails. He only had two, one from George suggesting another meeting between the four of them, much to her discomfort, and another from a guy named Jim Burger concerning a private matter he didn't mention on the voicemail. Emma took her notes and wasted no time getting her foods together to be presented to him.

Rebecca Stuart was a contractor from the other side of the wall. She was gorgeous, Emma supposed. Tall as blazes. She had long platinum blonde hair and the most adorable freckles on her nose and cheeks. She was a supermodel, not really but if Emma had to point out a person in the office that fit the description best she would say it was tall, slim, pretty Rebecca.

She was sitting, one hip place casually on Trey's month calendar and the other smashing papers on the corner of his desk. Her skirt was much shorter than Emma's beige one and only riding up higher as she crossed her legs. Her blonde hair was thrown over her shoulder and hanging close to him as they giggled at something he said. The door hadn't been closed.

Trey wore a white shirt today. His tie was a patterned gray and white, stylish confection of fabric and Emma caught the site of his freshly cut hair, a sign that they had indeed just come from the weekend. Trey always had a fresh haircut on Mondays.
