The way she told the story it was almost like she was telling a dark evil fairy tale like it never happened to her, but just some story she knows off the top of her head. Chloe couldn't help but cry, cuddling into Collin's chest. Even he couldn't help but whip the tears away. Once she was done reciting the story a heavy silence fell in the room.

"Gage is your mate isn't he?" Collin asked, filling the silence. Mac raised her eyebrows in surprise.

"Yes, however, I have yet to tell anybody except Katie that. So if you don't mind I would like if you can keep it a secret."

"What?" Chloe looked shocked. "But if he is your mate then how....but Sandy....but you...."

"How indeed, I don't know something is blocking our mating bond, maybe because I am a changed werewolf, maybe a different type of magic or he just doesn't want me. Either way out of all my problems he is the least of my concerns," Mac said she turned away from them, hiding the brief emotion that covered her face, sadness.

"But you two rightfully belong together," Chloe said.

"Do we though? He has decided to shag up with the bitch from hell," Mac said, she subconsciously lifted her hand to her heart. It hasn't hurt since that day in the cafeteria.

"I'm sorry Mac," Collin said, unsure of what else to say. He reached out to rest his hand on her back but thought better of it.

"Don't be, I'm fine," Mac said turning back to them with a forced smile. But they could tell it was forced. "Oh look at the time, I have a meeting with Allen and Justin next. Sorry to rush you out," Mac said walking over to the door. Collin and Chloe stood, unsure of their own legs. Chloe couldn't help but rush into Mac's arm.

"You don't deserve that," Chloe whispered.

"Nobody ever does," Mac replied. She opened the door to find Allen and Justin waiting on the other side. "Now remember this isn't for everybody to know." Collin and Chloe nodded before flashing a smile at Allen and Justin.

"Told them didn't you," Allen said walking in and taking a seat.

"Told them what?" Mac said sitting in her seat.

"That you are the Black Luna and how you became her," Justin said.

"When people get the whole story they only get one look, and that is the look," Allen said.

"Well, yes I told them. But it doesn't matter I am here to talk to both of you anyway," Mac said. "Now you two have shown signs that I have yet to see anybody else in the pack display." They both stared up at her with confused looks.  Justin and Allen were friends, but they didn't consider themselves to be that similar. "You two have the gift of healing. No matter the situation you don't get grossed out or over stressed. Both of you have always been able to figure out how to help the werewolf in need which is why as soon as you are done with werewolf school this year you will be going to college for a doctorate." She said the last part to Justin, "and next year when you finish werewolf school you will join him." Both couldn't help the smile spread across their lips.

"I don't have the grades to get into college," Justin said, he was a high school drop out.

"Good thing you have a powerful Alpha that can help you out," Mac said handing him over a large envelope.

He pulled out the paper, University of Washington is glad to accept Justin McHall into our undergraduate program.

"This is amazing," Justin said jumping up and giving her a hug.

"I take that as a yes you would love to go," Mac said.

"Fuck yes, I wish I could go tomorrow," Justin said.
