disjointed commentaries by a writer who doesn't give a shit

vote for me, I'll vote for you

I remember the first time I got a message, from a Poet whom I did not know, who asked me ....

"Hi, I have read a couple of your poems and i really liked them. I have a collection of poems as well. If you vote for my poems, I will vote for yours."

So I responded ...

"I will take a look and tell you what I think."

To which they responded ...

"I don't care if you like them or not. I am just talking about trade voting. Just skim through them and vote on each one and I will do the same for you."

So I responded ...

"I don't do that shit."

To which they responded ...

"Then I am taking back the votes I gave you."

So I responded ...

"Is that what you call, re-gifting?"

To which they responded ...

****nothing***

Vote for votes used to be a thing here on Wattpad.

Some people even posted on their home page that they would do vote for vote if you wanted to.

Does it still go on?

I don't really know. I have not gotten a request to do so in a couple years, so maybe it is outlawed.

People think that the more votes they get, the better chance it will help them get on the revered wattpad "HOT LISTS"

i personally think the whole idea of vote for votes is a pile of shit and it mirrors a false image of the true talent of the writer.

I personally will never do votes for votes.

If you are going to be a great writer then you will do it on your own merit

and 

a few extra votes will not make you a better writer.

TALENT WILL.
