shit, you scared me,
Ibushi. ❞
— Morgan

THERE WAS AN ACTUAL TIME WHEN Morgan had stopped from bickering or snarling when it comes to her nature. That happened days after Battle of Los Angeles, although a week after would be a complete chaos as she returned...receiving nothing but silence and stapled papers from Tama Tonga; it seemed to be a script. If there's anyone in her life that would take care of her mailbox while she's gone to other countries: it's gonna be the Bullet Club original member.

Professional wrestling and baseball came barreling into her life, but she was never concerned about her acting talent. She was too busy with the career that she has - hell the trip to Reseda was nothing but something that she had to fit because she knew she can't miss another show that she loves.

Her eyes wandered at the written script as Trish Stratus' theme blasted on her earphones. The audition is few months away, the opportunity that she can't miss before her contract in New Japan expires. She knew she couldn't think straight. From the hectic schedule to the unknown date of the audition, she never had a plan. All she wanted was to cry and drink for the crappy days that she'll go through.

But her want or need for alcohol and tears was immediately blocked with an idea. Nobody seemed to disturb her right after she finished the stack of papers that Gedo that left on her desk while she's gone, it was just a typical day for her; it's nothing but earphones and coffee with papers to read. Her eyes scanned a sentence once again, huffing at herself.

❝ your home will always be my heart. ❞

She laughed loudly at herself after reading the pathetic line. She found things that involves the word love hilarious but she knew she never found one...yet and she's not trying. The first time her heart eyes appeared it was when she found out that her ex-girlfriend happened to be in the same class with her. She was naive; shy enough that the ex-girlfriend approached her first.

Thinking about those days made her gasp in shock, asking herself how did she turn from a coy girl into a hardheaded woman. If there's anything is made her gasp in shock...

"Fuck!" She said the word repeatedly after realizing that Kota suddenly popped out of nowhere. She immediately inhaled and exhaled the air, catching her breath before slapping the man in the arm. From what she knows, he's quiet and has a lot of friends to talk with. She immediately questioned herself with: Why me? "Shit, you scared me, Ibushi." Kota immediately bowed his head and apologized.

"Gomen'nasai."
"It's not like everyday is not scary, we're cool."

"What are you doing here, anyway?" She questioned. "Did your boyfriend leave you with me...or did I do something wrong in general?" Kota sighed, not knowing how to answer the boyfriend part although he knew she was being sarcastic.

"Kare wa watashi o nokoshite inakatta, Morugan (He did not leave me, Morgan)." He spoke quietly, going along with the silence in the hallway. He sighed once again, not believing that he's gonna respond to her sarcasm. "Kare wa amarini mo watashi no bōifurendode wa arimasen. Kare wa watashi no tada no pātonādearimasu (He is not my boyfriend too. He is just a partner of mine.)."

"Is it like... a romantic one or-" She immediately saw Kota's mood change as she stopped from speaking. "Fine, tag team partner it is. But do you have an idea how cute you guys are together? You can't deny things like those, especially when you kissed accidentally. Someone's gonna need to take a lesson when it comes to cliche shit like that." She rambled, muttering it to herself as Kota just stared at her. "If you don't speak and if you keep on staring at me, it's gonna make you look like a creep."

"Anata wa kare to dēto suru hitsuyō ga arimasu (You should date him)." He nodded as her eyes widened. "He like you, I think he never stopped." He shrugged, didn't even care whether her eyes was as big as the size of the moon or her jaw dropped to the floor. She immediately closed her mouth and scoffed.

"You are driving me crazy, Mister." She shook her head and chuckled as if it was a joke. She stopped when Kota didn't do the same thing and rolled her eyes. "Look, Kenny is just fucking around and I know when he's lying. He wouldn't do things such as this."

"Kenī wa jōdan o itte inai (Kenny is not joking)," he stated. "Watashitachiha tsukiatte iruga, kare wa watashi o suki ka dō ka wa shirimasen (although we're going out in dates, I think he likes you)."

"So, you're pushing him away to be with me?" He shrugged, not knowing if it's a yes or a no. "For a good wrestler, you're quite dumb." She muttered as he frowned in disagreement. Sure, it was rude for her to call him by negative terms but she was honest enough for stating her opinion. "What? You can't just let go of him when you know that you love him."

"He loves you though," he stated, unknown emotion written on his face. The atmosphere was dense, she can tell by how he said it. No matter how a person repeats a thing or two, she would be the disbeliever; she can't trust a person when she knew that she's gonna be broken in the end. "Kare wa watashi ga mae ni mita koto ga nai egao de 2010-nen irai, anata o shōsan suru to nobemashita. Anata wa jōdan sore o yobidashimasu ka? (He said that he admires you since 2010 with a smile that I've never seen before. Would you call it a joke?)."

"The point here is that nobody can ever love me like that," she argued, telling him that things are impossible. "I suck, but hell I know what's the joke and what's not. You can persuade me anytime you want but it won't change the fact that he was just lying about it."

"You really don't get it, do you?" She snapped her head to the right, the words 'speak of the devil and he shall appear' screaming loudly as Kenny Omega sighed, shaking his head in disbelief. The fact that he couldn't say it in front of Kota - the boyfriend of his - infuriated him. He just tried to let go of it while Morgan does her best to rephrase the words that she said. "Our match is about to start, Kota. Ikou (let's go)." The Manitoban left the two, the lady had her mouth dropped and the realization of screwing up immediately appeared.

Kota hopped out of the box, telling her one more thing before he walked off. "Think about him."

When she told the curly haired man that he had a finger wrapped around her, she knows that she meant it. She was just in denial and she was trying to avoid any conversation about her past and possibly a future relationship. And now, Kenny had heard all of it - a very unfortunate event that scared her. Maybe she should've stopped from bickering not just about her career, but also the mere fact that Kenny was already involved in her twisted story.

NOTE :

Oh hello. I'm really sorry if this update is disappointing. I haven't published a chapter since two months ago and now here it is. I am hoping that you wouldn't mind the inaccuracy of the Japanese translation, I'm trying my best to translate it but anyways. Kota finally appeared in the story and also happened to be Kenny's partner (Golden Lovers). I AM ALSO SORRY IF KENNY AND KOTA'S RELATIONSHIP IS NOT THAT IDENTIFIED. It's quite complicated because you can't break a good ship for a girl. I'm hoping that you have enjoyed this chapter but for now... I gotta rest my eyes after a very good celebration.

Too sweet me,
Dana.
