Kabanata 29| Zeus

I didn't waste any moment, after hearing what our maid said, I quickly get up from my seat and call Loki.

"Hey, asshole! I need you here at Albay."

"Where?"

"Hacienda."

I ended up the call, then start dialing Poseidon's number

"Hey." I heard Poseidon's hoarse voice said.

"Where are you bro?"

"My condo here in Makati."

"Come here, on our Hacienda at Albay."

"Hmm, why Kuya?"

"It's about Hera."

After a moment of silence he spoke, "Okay, Kuya. I'll try to contact Hades."

After talking to Poseidon, I return my phone to my pocket then stare to the direction of our maid.

"Where's Mina's house?"

I MUST ADMIT, I don't know what I should feel. Staring out from the window of my car, I suddenly feel nervous.

Waiting for someone to come, I breathed out and breathed in.

I turn off the engine of my car, then I finally decided to knock on the door.

"Tao po!" I humbly said.

After 1 to 2 minutes, someone opened the door.

I was greeted by an old lady. She is wearing a duster and a reading glass. Her hair is white as snow, and her wrinkles when she spoke to me is appearing.

"Señorito Zeus! Nabisita ho kayo. Ano pong kailangan nila?" She said while staring at my car.

"Nandiyan po ba si Mina?"

"Bakit mo hinahanap ang Apo ko?" She said while squinting her eyes.

"It's just a hunch, but I have this feeling that Mina is my long lost wife."

Her eyes widen with what I said then she softly spoke these words. "Sorry, Señorito Zeus. Pero hindi mo ako nakakaintinde ng Ingles pero alam ko po ang ibig sabihin ng wife."

I don't know If I should laugh or what with what she said but I am relieved when she let me in inside of their house.

"Maupo ka muna at parating na rin ang asawa ko. Saglit lamang at ikukuha kita ng maiinom."

"Salamat po."

Siting here in their sofa made of bamboo, I suddenly feel excited.

Fishing out my phone, I look to the messages.

I smiled a little when I read that Hades and Poseidon is already there at the Hacienda.

I was surprised when someone spoke out of nowhere.

"Señorito Zeus? bakit po kayo nandito sa tahanan namin?"

"Oh, nandiyan ka na pala."

"Mukhang may bisita tayo ah."

I just looking at them with my mouth closed. I can't speak, and it feels like my nervousness got the best of me.

"Maupo ka muna, upang makapag-pahinga ka man lamang. Alam kong mag-hapon kang nag-ta-trabaho."

This time I finally got my bearings, "Hello po."

"Ah, isa sa mga anak ng Demetios! Anong maipagli-lingkod namin sa iyo at nabisita mo kami?" It's Mina's grandfather.

"It's about Mina."

When I said Mina's name, he suddenly got serious, the friendly atmosphere around him awhile ago suddenly gone.

"Anong kailangan mo sa apo namin?" Mina's grandmother came and seat besides her husband. They hold hands together while staring at me waiting for me to answer their question.

"Hinahanap ko si Mina?"

"Bakit mo siya hinahanap?" Protectiveness is written all over his face. I smiled to them. They really took care of Mina even though she ain't their relative.

I heaved a deep sigh then answer their question. "Siya po ang nawawala kong asawa."

Mina's grandfather suddenly became silent.

"Si Mina?"

I nodded. "Nasaan po siya?"

They suddenly taken aback when I spoke.

"Ha? Bakit mo siya hinahanap dito?"

"What do you mean? Ah, ano pong ibig ninyong sabihin?"

"Nasa trabaho pa si Mina hanggang ngayon. Sa Hacienda, hindi ba? Doon siya ngayon pumapasok?"

"What? Ang sabi ng maid namin ay pinauwi na nila si Mina dahil napaso daw po siya."

"Ha? Hanggang nagyon ay wala pa si Mina."

What the fuck.
