I yawned and checked my alarm— yes, I have a new alarm clock.

"Why did I wake up five minutes before my alarm?" I asked with a groan.

"You didn't seem to have a good rest last night." A voice behind me said.

I rolled over to see the owner of the voice— and I was right, it wasn't Kylie.

I yawned, "What are you doing here so early, Leon? And how do you know I didn't have a good sleep? Wait, you didn't sneak in here to watch me sleep did you? That's a bit sta-"

"Shut up. I can tell 'cause you have dark circles, and I just arrived." He explained.

"Oh." I said with a giggle, "How come I didn't hear you come in?"

"I don't know. But I was actually woken up at two in the morning when we realized that Kylie sneaked out at night." Leon said.

I rubbed my eyes and sat on my bed, "Why would Kylie sneak out?"

"What?" Leon asked, a little surprised.

"What do you mean what?" I asked him again, tilting my head to my side.

"We thought you would've known where she went..." Leon trailed off.

I sighed and collapsed back on my bed, "Great, a new case."

"You, Oliver, and Xander will-"

"Wait a minute, Xander and Ollie? No way!" I said, jumping out of bed.

"Why not?" Leon asked.

I pouted, "But I don't wanna pair with those two- well, one."

"And who might that be?" He asked with a raised eyebrow.

For the third time, how do- eh, you can fill up the rest.

"Xander." I replied.

"Why?" He asked.

"Can you stop asking questions?" I told him, slightly irritated.

"Well, you just asked a question, don't I have the right to ask questions?" He asked with a smirk.

"Fine." I said with a giggle.

"Anyways, why don't you wanna pair up with Xander?" He asked again.

"He's mad at me." I replied with a pout.

"And why is he mad at you?" He asked.

I giggled, "I may or may not spilled yogurt on his hair-"

"I don't see how that's anger-worthy." Leon said.

"Let me finish. And he also said that he's embarrassed since the girl he likes got to see that." I finished.

"Girl he likes?" Leon asked slowly.

"Yup. He said he didn't want the girl he likes to see that but she did." I replied with a giggle.

-

I thought Xander liked Dayana? Huh, maybe that was puppy love.

He did mention that he liked her when they were in grade school before.

"Who do you think is the girl he likes?" I asked Dayana.

She put her hand on her chin, "The most likely is Erica Chrose."

"Who's that?" I asked her again.

I knew she was getting annoyed with all the questions I'm asking, but she's so cute!

"Before I answer that, promise that this is the last question today." She said, narrowing her eyes at me.

I had to hold back my laughter from her cuteness, so I ended up clearing my throat.

"Promises were made to be broken."

She glared at me and tackled me to the ground.

"This... is awkward." I said, looking at the position we were in.

"You think?" She spat.

"Hey, don't be mad." I told her.

"Just promise that the question you asked me will be the last for today." She said, giggling.

I chuckled, "Promise."

She stood up, "She's the school's 'princess' of some sort-"

She may be the princess of your school, but you're the princess of my heart.

Damn, how cringe-worthy was that?

"-she's nice, smart, and also pretty." Dayana continued.

I stood up, realizing I was still on the floor.

-

Leon stood up, realizing he was still on the floor.

I giggled, "I'm gonna take a shower now. You may see yourself out."

He nodded and left the room.

I smiled and headed to the bathroom.

After I finished, I put on some ripped jeans and a white shirt that says 'Sup B!tch'.

I suddenly remembered what Xander told me.

"The girl I like saw me like this... I think I might die out of embarrassment. But still, I don't think she cares."

I wondered why I felt so sad when he said 'the girl I like'. Maybe I felt bad for him?

But that wasn't it...

That sadness was like when Travis got to eat candy but I didn't.

Ugh, just forget it.

I exited my room and was greeted by Leon leaning on the wall opposite of my door.

"Do you wanna change partners?" He asked me.

I shrugged, "Not sure."

"I won't change your partners then. Thank you for your opinion." Leon said the last part with sarcasm.

"You're welcome, Lee." I giggled.

"I can just assign others." He said, "Sounds good?"

"Nah!" I replied, "As long as we'll use Cuppycake. Pew pew!"

I started to make gun imitations with my hands.

He rolled his eyes and started walking ahead of me.

"Oi, wait for me!" I yelled and semi-jogged to catch up to him.

"You, supposedly not anymore, together with Bryer and Niel, were gonna try to find clues in the cafeteria." He told me.

I nodded, "Is eating prohibited while looking for clues?"

He stared at me in amusement, "Yeah, I guess. If the lunch lady lets you."

I jumped out of happiness.

"If." Leon told me, making me freeze half-way through a jump so I fell off my butt.
