Joanne Belle Kameron

"Today is the day," I said after gently shaking Brandon up from his peaceful sleep.

  "What day?"

I sighed. "The day our contract is over. Remember?"

"But I don't want it to be over," he pouted.

"Come on. We're gonna talk to Blake and end the contract but not our relationship," I said, ruffling his hair.

~Modest Management~

"So, lovebirds, it's time to break up and let Brandon date, for real this time," Blake immediately got down to business.

"Hold up, Blake," I said. "We're dating for real. Are you implying that we're faking this completely real relationship!?"

"No. This is why I don't encourage you people to start dating for real in the first place. Just break up," Blake said snippily.

  "No," Brandon insisted.

"Let me rephrase that," Blake smirked. "Do what I said or I'll drop you!"

I snorted. "Puh-lease. Who wouldn't be interested in hiring the biggest pop star? Drop him, then," I challenged. "See who picks him up next. We're in New York for crying out loud!"

Blake blew out a defeated sigh. "Fine!"

Brandon and I walked out of the office, hand in hand.

~Two years later, Joanne's birthday~

"Morning, princess," a soothing voice mummered in my ear.

  I groaned. "No. I don't wanna," I said in a childish voice.

"Wake up or the Tickle Monster's gonna get 'cha," the voice - probably Brandon - said.

"Please. Everyone knows the Tickle Monster only comes out as night," I said.

"If you say so!" Then, a tickling sensation came over my body and I started giggling hysterically.

  "Stop it!" I shrieked.

  "Only if you get up!"

In a flash, I was up in the bathroom brushing my teeth.

Once I was done, I opened the bathroom door and a pink and white cake was shoved into my face.

  "What?" I asked, confused.

  "Happy Birthday, princess!" Brandon said.

I took a closer look at the cake. On it, there were the words For Joanne, my bestest princess. From Brandon written in cream icing. There were 20 candles on it. Happy 20th Birthday, princess were written on the side.

Tears welled up in my eyes. "For me?" I whispered.

"Let's go out to the living room," he said, guiding me.

He opened the door and everyone packed inside the living room yelled "SURPRISE!"

I looked down at my dressing. Luckily, I had prepped myself up in the bathroom with casual attire.

My brown hair was loose and wavy. I was wearing a blue Rock My World! shirt and shorts.

I saw gleaming faces of my parents, Gemma, Emma, Chrissy, Ruby, Fred, Taylor, Jovan, Abigail and all my friends.

"Really?" I asked again, taking in the surronding.
