Revealing my true identity to Dani went off better than i thought it would. She seemed a bit shocked but she took it well. Anyone would be momentarily shocked if they found out that their boyfriend was a royal or sheikh.

Thankfully My Angel understood well. She even agreed to the plan i had made in my head about us , for the future. I loved her too much,she is an important part of me. I could not let her go. I don't know what i would have done if she had rejected my plan, rejected a future with me. I probably would have fallen on my knees and begged her to stay with me. I would try with all my heart to convince her,never giving up. But all worked out well and she agreed. But i also had to speak with her parents too, after all i could not just whisk her off without their consent.

As i sat in my room thinking all this, Kareem came in. He slapped me good-naturedly on the back and said, " Hey bro. How are you ? I have barely seen you these days what with you spending time with your first girlfriend and all."

I returned his grin and decided to tease him saying , "i hope you are not jealous brother."

"Jealous ? Me ? Well i guess i should be considering Dani is such an amazinf girl. Quite a catch," he said with a wink.

"Yeah i would know. I should be sorry that it didn't work out for you, but i am not," i said on a laugh.

"Thanks for you false concern," he said nudging me in the ribs.

But after that i couldn't control myself. I just burst out laughing.
"Kareem, seriously. How long are you going to keep this up ?"

"What are you talking about ?"he asked genuinely confused.

"Dani told me everything you about your little scheme brother." I couldn't stop the smirk when I saw Kareem's expression.

"She told you ! I can't believe that !"

"In her defence she accidently spilled the beans."

"Well then there is no use pretending. I never saw Dani in that way but more like a little sister, pretty much like Nina. You never had any competition. She had a crush on you right from the day she met you on campus, but you did NOT hear this from me! "
He said the last part lifting up his hands in mock surrender.

"That's an interesting bit of news. I am glad i was not the only one. Thanks Kareem, you are a great little brother in your own twisted way." We both burst out laughing .

He then left to go finish an assignment he was due to submit in a day. I decided to go for a drive. It was a clear sky type of night. I wished Dani was with me. It was the perfect night for star-gazing. I started my jeep without my security tailing me. I had given them the night off since i originally wasn't planning to leave the house.

On the drive i heard a ringtone before it quickly stopped. It wasn't mine but it was definitely coming from within the jeep. I identified it as Dani's. Turning on the light i located her phone on the backseat. It must have fallen out when she dropped her bag there in the afternoon. Guess i will be going to meet My Angel.

I had never visited Dani past dinner time. Her house lay on the outskirts of the town, closer to the woods. It wasn't isolated as there were many other houses, cottages around with enough distance between them to give the residents privacy. The lights were already out and that left me in a bit of a dilemma. She had told me that her parents preferred to sleep early as they started their day much before their daughters.

I knew for sure that Dani would still be awake, so i decided to avoide ringing the bell and waking the her parents and try the window. Dani's room was behind and as i walked to it i could see the light on in two rooms.

Just as i was reaching there i saw a figure jump down through the window. This startled me. Inspite of the panic that griped me i realised that the person was actually Dani who had jumped down and landed with such grace on the grass below. This was testimont to the fact that she had done this many times. Curious i stood there in the shadows, watching silently.

She stood still for a beat and took a deep breath in and then i say her break into a run in the direction of the forest before she jumped or rather leaped into the air and turned into a ..... a wolf ?!?!?

I was stunned, frightened and had a thousand thoughts going through my head. Dani or rather the wolf running into the forest was the last thing i saw before everything turned to black.

I woke up in an unfamiliar room disoriented at first. A side lamp on the nightstand was on that cast a soft light around the room. I could hear the crickets outside, see the light in the room and smell the distinct and sweet smell of vanilla and lavender that i knew belonged to Dani.

Dani.... the thought of her brought a million things crashing down in my head and i started feeling a dull throbbing sensation of pain at the back of my head.

Dani... wolf..... i couldn't believe it. I know what i saw could not have been an illusion. I needed answers. I was scared, terrified for the first time in my life. Everything began to spin before i met the darkness again.
