"It's so normal. This house, this life it's down to the book normal," Caitlin said as she looked around at the newly furnished house.

"Are you happy with that?" I asked her, concerned she wasn't thrilled with the new life we've started to build.

"More than you could ever know," She smiled as she pulled me in for a hug.

I waited for Caitlin to return home from work as an optometrist as I cooked dinner. Cooking is a new skill I've acquired since we began this new life. Caitlin knows how to cook so I assumed I wouldn't have to learn but, with as late as she works, she was tired of me continuously eating frozen dinners.

"Honey, I'm home!" Caitlin yelled as the door slammed behind her.

Every day she said the same thing in the same peppy attitude and everyday it always made me laugh. I put down the spoon I was using and greeted her at the door.

"How was work?" I asked as I hung her coat up.

"You know, another normal day," She said as if normal was bad.

"Are you sure you're still okay with this life, you just don't seem like it anymore," I asked noticing her attitude with the word 'normal'.

"I just miss everyone back home," She sighed.

The only person who knows I'm still alive is Cisco but that's because he helped me fake my death. The story was that Caitlin couldn't remain in Central City because she was too distraught from my death to stay. I left in this gruesome way so I could live my life free of danger. Caitlin was always in the middle of it and she couldn't handle it anymore so, in order to free her from this, I pretended to die. Death was the only way I wouldn't get sucked back into being Flash just as Oliver did with Arrow when he and Felicity began their new life.

"Then go and visit, I'll be fine on my own for a few days," I assured her.

"Why don't we invite Cisco here?" She suggested.

"Why don't you go and help out at STAR Labs? I know you want to," I replied.

"Maybe," She dragged out the e.

Before I could say anything else, the timer on the oven rang to signal the garlic bread was complete. Caitlin sniffed the air to get a hint of what nice dinner I was cooking tonight. She was pleased with the aroma in the house and said so with a smile.

The bread was finished and just needed to cool off while I waited on the pasta to finish cooking. This didn't take long, only a few minutes, so we were able to eat almost right after Caitlin got home.

She set the table as I put the food on our plates. A nice family dinner with no interruptions or 'should I go to the future?' talks were the new normal for us. No being the Flash a huge weight was lifted off my shoulders and it made life so much easier and stress-free. Without this extra stress, our family dinners were filled with light-hearted comments and laughter, it's nice.

"How was work?" Caitlin asked just before taking her first bite of my delicious pasta.

"My boss is just like Captain Singh, always expects everything done the instant I'm assigned to it," I sighed as I remembered the struggle of keeping up with cases.

"I think that'll be true wherever we go," Caitlin told me.

"Probably. What about you, how was work?" I questioned.

"It was fine, pretty much the same," She shrugged as twirled the noodles on her fork.

"Can I ask you about something?" She looked up at me and I nodded, "Do you want to have kids?"

"If you want to," I said, my eyes wide with shock.

"I just feel bad if we do have a kid and we can't share the joy with our friends and family because they all think you're dead," She said sorrowfully.

"Then we'll tell them I'm alive. To conceal my identity as Flash, Central City thinks that Barry Allen moved," I suggested.

"I'll see how everyone is after this visit and then we can decide. Is that ok?" She asked, a smile forming on her face.

"Sounds great," I smiled, "Why don't you call Cisco now?"

I began to clean up from dinner with a smile on my face by how happy Caitlin was. She had a wide smile on her face as she talked to Cisco. Her small laughs were the cutest thing ever. I was more than thrilled with Caitlin's newfound happiness.

When she hung up the phone, she leaned on the wall and smiled at me while I put the last plate in the dishwasher. I walked over to her and grabbed her hands.

"Have I ever told you how much I love it when you smile?" I whispered.

"Are you flirting with me, Barry?" She said with wide eyes, her smile getting wider.

"I've been flirting with you for three years and you're just now noticing?" I said, fake hurt.

"Shut up and kiss me, Mr. Allen," She playfully slapped me.

"As you wish Mrs. Allen," I leaned in and kissed her lips softly.
