because loving you caused earthquakes
in my chest and tsunamis in my lungs.
you allowed vines to wrap around my rib cage,
flowers to blossom inside my stomach every time
you kissed my lavender tinted cheek.
you swore you saw the universe being carried on
my spine and my eyes made the moon jealous
with how many constellations i carried for you.
you were the closest thing that ever
made me feel alive.
and i never got the chance to
thank you.
