Late At Night (Short)

<(Y/N)'s POV>

Time: 8:20pm

Just one more value of y then.... I'm finished with my crrraaaaazy math homework! I closed my textbook in victory and lay my head on my study table. Now my assignment is done so I need to fix my backpack and go to bed.

School will give me a lot of works tomorrow and I need a lot of energy to do activites like speech choirs, recitations, quizzes, volleyball, dances, science experiments, and more. I keep on motivating myself to get an average of 90 above so my parents will be proud of me.

I unlocked my phone and searched some good songs in YouTube. I opened my window of my room and looked at the view of New York city. That's my daily meditation everytime I am lonely or tired. My parents are now asleep so I keep myself quiet, trying my best not to wake them. If they figured out that I'm still up holding my phone, I'll be dead for sure.

After some few songs, I felt myself too sleepy so no choice and go to bed. Before I could do that, I put a note that I should visit the turtles when classes are done. I lay down, hugged my other pillow and closed my eyes. I just left the window open because I prefer the cool fresh air touches my skin than turning the air conditioning unit on.

I guess this is a good night New York...

Hours passed....

<Leo's POV>

I asked permission to Splinter if I can go to (Y/N)'s apartment to check her. Thank goodness he allowed me to. When I got arrived, I saw her window is open. I climed at the building and looked inside her room by that window. I saw (Y/N) sleeping peacefully on her bed. Seems that she's tired due to her school work.

Quietly, I stepped inside her room trying my best not to wake her. I sat down beside her bed and observed her sleeping figure. My heart suddenly beats so loud when I saw her beautiful face. I want to cuddle her but I couldn't. I just... don't know why.

"Leo..." I snapped my thoughts away when I hear (Y/N) mumbled something. Did she just say my name? Is she just sleep-talked?

"Leo?" she said it again! She opened her right eye and looked at me. Well, I think she didn't sleep talked in the first place.

"Hey (Y/N). Did I wake you?"

"No." she gets up on her bed and I sat down. "But Leo, it's almost midnight!"

"I know." I said smiling at her.

"What are you doing here?" She said as she sat down beside me.

"Just want to visit you.... even it is late... I'm just checking on you if you're fine." I answered. Suddenly, it started to rain. In every minute, the noises of the raindrops became louder and louder.

"Leo, you came here with a wrong timing. Hang on there, I'll get you some water." (Y/N) said as she went to the kitchen.

While waiting, I checked one of her foes called her "assignments" on her table. Well, I can't even understand a thing that only Donnie can explain. I put her notebook back in place when I saw her blue sketchpad separated on her books or notebooks.

I checked it out and my heart beats more louder when I saw it's content. There are sketches of MY face. (Y/N)'s kinda good at arts than Donnie or Mikey. I'm not good in drawing but this is so amazing. On the lower left side of the page it says,

"I love him..."

"Leo, here is— NOOOOOOOOOOO!" (Y/N) shouted as she ran amd snatched her sketchpad on my hand. She gave me a death glare, "Leo... tell me you didn't see anything! Tell me, tell me!"

Before I could say something, there's a female voice heard from downstairs. "(Y/N)! Why are you screaming?"

"Mom! I had a bad dream! It is about uhm...." she looked at me and smirked. "I dreamt that I met a giant mutant turtle!" (Y/N) said. And I whispered a "What?" because her answer is kinda.... you know already.

I heard her mother laughed and replied with an "Okay" and everything went quiet again except for the rain outside.

"Leo, it's still raining so you are not allowed to go outside because cold substances are harmful to turtles, okay?"

I looked away and I sat down on her bed, looking at the ground.

"You saw it, did you?" she asked and I nodded. Now my face is red as a tomato. Problably the same red color on Raph's mask. I sighed and I calmed myself down. I guess the rain really wanted me to stay with (Y/N). The girl I really liked the most. It gave me a perfect opportunity to tell her everything.

"I like you, (Y/N)"
"I like you, Leonardo"

We both looked each other in surprise because we confessed simultaneously.

A big smiled formed on my face as I kissed her lips. She seemed surprised at first then she kissed back. I felt her hands traveled from my shoulders down to my arms until we held hands. After a few seconds, we broke the kiss.

"I think you should get to sleep, (Y/N). You have school tomorrow." I said.

"Right." she said amd the both of us lied down on her bed and we cuddled each other. I am really happy right now to see my girl safe in my arms.

"Good night, (Y/N)..." I said and I kissed her forehead.

"Good night, Leo..."
