Arranged Marriage - Shawn Mendes

"Andrew I don't know what to do" I place the see-through glass on the wall, Aaliyah stood next to me, listening intensely to what's being said in the room over, "what's he saying" Aaliyah asks as I Shawn chatting to Andrew, "something about not knowing what to do" I scrunch my eyebrows up, passing the cup over to Aaliyah,

"what's he saying?" I question as she places her hand on her lips, signalling me to be quiet, "he said 'I'm doing it in Paris' something about having something already planned" I nod, confused but oddly intrigued, if it were something involving me, surely he would have told me, or at least hinted on it, I mean he's with me the majority of the day, it should have slipped out by now.

Throughout the day I've had an inkling that Shawn, Andrew, Manny, Karen and Aaliyah were up to something. Although it could just be me imagining things but, like my father, I do not have a good imagination.

"Good news, Rein" Andrew smiles to me as I eat my popcorn by myself as everyone else had disappeared to do things around Madrid, where as I had decided to have a Netflix day, eating popcorn a fan had gave me.

Switching off 'Orange Is The New Black' I turn my attention to Andrew, "what is so good, great Andrew of this earth" I sarcastically say as he rolls his eyes,

"Nick Jonas called, he wants you"

I scan my eyes over the lyrics to a new song, apparently the Nick Jonas had written, so far I felt quite happy with what had been placed before me, I mean I'm singing a song with Nick Jonas any song will do.

"Can I just ask, how are we recording and stuff, I need to know about my schedule so I can fit it in" I open my diary, looking at all the things I have to get done by May Seventeenth, the day which me and Shawn decided to get married on, next year of course.

"Don't worry, he's flying out here, actually," he checks his watch, "we need to go to the airport, he's here in twenty minutes" I groan looking at my half eaten popcorn, "but Andrew" I whine as he smiles, "put your shoes on"

I pull the sleeves of Shawn's oversized t-shirt up, he had lent it to me as I thought I was having a lazy but no, Nick Jonas had to be birthed onto this planet. I look up to see Nick and a hefty amount of security guards surrounding him, I smile towards him as he comes over to me, engulfing me in a welcoming hug,

"It's nice to meet you, Rein"

I tap Shawn on the shoulder as me and Nick look at each other giggling like school girls when they talk about their crushes, "what do you want Rei- Nick?" He questions standing up, doing a bro hug, greeting each other, "what are you doing here?" Shawn questions as Nick smiles down to me,

"me and your girlfriend are doing a song together"

Remember I told you- the name of the song had been stuck in my head since we began recording, Nick was currently in the booth, Mike Posner was next to me and I still couldn't quite comprehend the fact that I was in the same proximity of two global stars, although I am getting married to one, it still hasn't struck home that I now officially- kind of, I still don't have a contract- in the music industry.

I put on the headphones as I give a cheeky thumbs up to Nick and Mike making them both- what looked like- chuckle.

I began singing my part as I turn to look at the shocked faces of Nick and Mike, the both look towards each other, nodding. I finish up, after doing about eight takes so they can edit all the best parts together, taking my headphones off and placing them on the table next to me.

I smile listening to the final product with Mike and Nick, turning my attention towards them both,

"Good?"
"Excellent, Rein."
"I agree with Nick"
"Thank you guys"
"No problem"
"What he said"

I sit on Shawn's lap as he smiles, wrapping his arms around me, "haven't had some quality time with you lately" he kisses my neck gently, "that's because you've been ditching me for Andrew and Geoff, how rude" I pout, turning my head towards him, "no, it's because you've ditched me for your new celebrity friends" he wiggles his eyebrows at me making me push his cheeks with my fingers,

"They're your friends as well"

I sip on my lemonade, I'm on a little date with Aaliyah and Karen, I guess you would call this a girls day out. "I'm so excited for you and Shawn to get married" Karen sips on her iced tea as I choke on my straw, "who said we're getting married?" I chuckled as she winks at me, "a little birdie" Aaliyah sends a little smirk in my way,

"A little birdie told me as well"

I look at the colour chart in front of me, choices ranging brown to red to pink to purple to green, basically, any colour imaginable is on this one bit of paper placed on the desk.

Me and Shawn eventually decided on lilac, white and a light pink as the colours of the wedding, although Shawn had insisted that there has to be blue flowers on the cake, so that basically means it's a lilac, white, light pink and blue theme, although Shawn wants dark blue, I'm making them baby blue so it will match.

"I'm so excited to see what the future holds for us, Cerny, I really am" Shawn mumbles into my hair making me blush lightly, smiling shyly, I look up into his chocolate brown eyes, making me melt into the palm of his hand,

"I'm excited to see what the future has in store for us as well, Mr. Mendes"
