Chapter 23

Dillon

“You two can go home,” I told Josh and AnaBella. 

“If anybody should go home, you should,” Josh said. “Out of all 

of us, you have had hardly any sleep.” 

“I know that, but I still feel bad about what happened last night,”

I sighed. “I feel like the only way to make up for that is to help Mandi

out as much as I possibly can.” 

“It was all of our faults because we all took her to Tyler’s party,”

AnaBella countered. 

“Again, I know that,” I said. “It’s just that... I don’t know.” 

“Are you people talking about me in there,” Mandi called from the 

living room. 

“No, Sleeping Beauty, we’re not,” AnaBella yelled. “Come on, 

let’s go make sure she doesn’t try to go anywhere.” 

“Hey, that was rude,” Mandi said as we walked into the living 

room. 

“I’m sorry,” AnaBella said as she hugged Mandi. “How are 

you feeling?”

“Guys, I’m fine,” Mandi assured us. “You should all just go 

home and rest; especially you,” she pointed at me. 

“Nope, there’s no way that you’re going to be able to get rid of 

me,” I protested. 

“I’m staying until at least nine tonight,” AnaBella said. 

Josh raised his hand, and said, “I’m with AnaBella.” 

“I hate you guys,” Mandi sighed. 

“Why,” I asked her. 

“Because you guys shouldn’t have to sit here bored out of your

minds like me,” she said rubbing her eyes. “Come on, my mom will

be home in about an hour, and I think that I’m just going to go back 

to sleep. Go ahead, all three of you, and go home.” 

“Fine,” AnaBella said. “Josh and I will leave, but Dillon stays.”

“All right,” Mandi sighed. 

“What the heck, AnaBella,” Josh asked. “I want to stay here

with Mandi and Dillon.” 

“I know, but we’ll just have a date night instead,” AnaBella

told him and then she kissed him. 

“Get a room you two,” I laughed at them.

“We’ll be going now,” Josh smirked. “We’ll see you guys 

tomorrow.”

“Bye,” Mandi said and AnaBella gave her a hug. 

“No getting up,” she told Mandi, “I’ll call you later, bye.”
