       CLEO WAS NEVER sent out into the maze. She was never a variable fit for that type of job. She wasn't meant to help the boys escape the trial that WICKED had set out for them. They had other things in mind for her. Cleo was mute. She never talked. She never spoke. She never said a single word to anyone in the facility. 

     HER LIFE WAS traumatic when the flares struck and they only got worse when she was brought into WICKED. Sent to join Jorge and Brenda on their mission in the Scorch, everything changes for Cleo. She meets the boys that are here to find a cure. And her eyes set out on a British boy. A boy named Newt. And her voice starts to return, the more she is by him.

‌━━━ cleo is known as subject b36: the silence (due to the fact that cleo refuses to speak, she communicates through writing and sign language)

‌━━━ cleo has been assigned to joins jorge and brenda to go the scorch on their own "mission," jorge tries to cracks jokes with cleo from time to time but all that she does is smile when jorge is trying to crack her into talking again

‌━━━ as soon as cleo crosses paths with newt, she sees a boy that has invisible scars and a hurt past that's the spark that ignites as cleo develops a small crush on the teenage boy

‌ ━━━ the first couple encounters of the two one on one, cleo only talks to him through writing; but is slowly warming up to him because newt is the first one that actually accepts the fact that cleo chooses not to talk

━━━ her relationship gets important as the two come to know each other more and more and become very close with one another cleo eventually communicates through her voice and starts talking to newt ( as their friendship grows more)

‌━━━ sometime during the night, the two can't fall asleep and they end up confessing the dark truths that they have about themselves and how they struggle in life. cleo explains why she never spoke because of her past.

‌━━━ newt embraces her for who she truly is and slowly falls in love with her as well

━━━ we do not sugar coat her ptsd (post-traumatic stress disorder) alright? cleo suffers from this because her parents had turned into cranks and she had lots of trauma trying to adapt to a situation where she would have to survive on her own as a child. take this seriously, please

━━━ cleo is extremely terrified of thunder and lighting because it triggers her ptsd, cleo has had many encounters with cranks during the thunder and lightning storms which is why she cannot deal with such a think

━━━ she's very sensitive to name calling (due to the fact that she was verbally abused from the workers at wicked) cleo is a smol child who deserves so much love from all of the pain and suffering she has gone through
