Twenty Seven

"Dude she's miserable right now"

"I hope there is something we could do, I miss seeing her smile"

I open my eyes to see Ally and Mitch looking over me.

"What?" I was usually grumpy in the mornings.

"Maddy you need to get out of the house" Ally says making me groan.

"No I refuse to leave the house until Connor leaves this city" I said covering my face with my blanket.

"He left" Mitch mumbles making be take the blanket of my face.

"He left?"

"Yeah when I woke up this morning all his things were gone" Mitch explains.

"Okay this is much better. I just don't want to face him" I said getting out of bed.

"Well let's go to the beach, I need a tan" Ally exclaims.

"Ugh the beach" I complained. I wasn't in the best mood right now.

"Don't be a party pooper" Mitch said as both of them left my room.

I went over to my closet and put on my bathing suit then some clothes on top of it.

"Ugh it's hot" Ally complained as soon as we got out the car.

"Say the one wanting to come here in the first place" I say following her.

We find a place to set our things down.

I lay down my towel and immediately lay down on top of it.

"Let's go in the water!" Mitch said taking his shirt off.

"Ugh i'm allergic to water" I said covering my face.

"Yeah me too" Ally said.

"You don't want to go in the water because you don't want to get your hair wet" I said to her.

"That's no-" Ally starts off before being picked up by Mitch.

"Mitch don't you fucking date!!" Ally says before being dropped in the water.

I stand up and take off my clothes.

"I'M JOINING!" I yelled as I ran into the water.

I ended up splashing Mitch right in the face.

"Oops" I said.

The next thing I know is I'm being chased by Mitch.

Ally was still in a pissed off mood because her hair got wet.

Mitch chased me all over the beach.

I looked back and saw that I was having a lead on him.

I looked forward and continued running until something caught my eye.

Mitch catches up with me.

"I caught you now Mad-" Mitch realizes what I was looking at.

Luckily Mitch and I both had our sunglasses on so hopefully he doesn't recognize us.

"Connor can you put some sunscreen on me" Lauren said in a flirtatious way.

Connor nodded and listened to what Lauren said.

I could feel the tears forming in my eyes.

Mitch rubs my back knowing that I was in pain right now.

Lauren looks up and notices us staring at them.

"Um can we help you?" She says in a sassy tone.

Connor looks up at us, i'm surprised he didn't recognize us at all.

"Sorry she just lost her earring and we were wondering if you saw it anywhere" Mitch said in a different voice.

Connor squinted his eyes, he totally knows that it is us.

"We didn't see and I would like if you stopped staring at my boyfriend and I".

Dang he moves on quickly.

"Sorry we will leave" I said quickly.

"Wait!" Lauren says walking up to us.

"You two look familiar, have we seen you before?" Lauren takes a closer look at Mitch and I.

"Um no" Mitch and I both say at the same time.

"Babe don't they look familiar?" Lauren asks as Connor comes closer to us.

I can feel my heart race every time he takes a step closer to me.

"What's your names?" Connor asks.

"My name is Bob T-Towel-Towely" Mitch stutters, I can tell he was looking at their towel when he came up with the name.

"Bob Towely?" Lauren and Connor were not convinced.

"Yeah my name is Bob Towely and this is my wife Martha Towely" Mitch pulls me closer to him.

"Yeah nice to meet you but we have to go now" I say quickly.

"MITCH MARNER!!!! MADDY CROSBY!!!" Ally yells from far away.

"Shit" Connor says "They're here"

"Is it your idiot friend and your gold digger ex girlfriend?"

"Hey she's not a gold digger" Connor defends me.

"Wow you don't defend your idiot friend" Mitch blurts out immediately putting his hand over his mouth.

Connor and Lauren both look at us.

Busted

Lauren comes closer and removes Mitch and I's sunglasses off.

"Uh hi" Mitch says.

I turn around and just start walking away.

"I should go bye" I hear Mitch says before catching up with me.

"I'm sorry Maddy" Mitch pulls me in for a side hug.
