Autumn's Destiny

    I sat in the apprentice's den and sighed recalling the conversation at the clan meeting "Hey Autumnpaw! What are you doing alone in here?" A familiar voice asked and looked up to see Oceanpaw, I looked at him lost of words "Um, just resting...I have a patrol later." I lied and Oceanpaw cocked his head "What do you mean? All of them already left?" Mousedung, it's already passed sunhigh? What do I tell him? I thought flicking my tail in response "Already? I guess nobody came and got me." I meowed hoping he would believe it. Oceanpaw looked at me and narrowed his eyes slightly "Huh, maybe you were still sleeping. Well I'm going out to train, see ya Autumnpaw! And Snowheart is looking for you." He meowed and left and I groaned

I don't wanna trainnnnnn.. What if I encounter Spottedpelt? She's going to be so mad at me!  But why..? What have I done? Because I was a kittypet. Kittypet, that's what people classify me. They still consider me as a kittypet other than a apprentice when I just found out a clan is invading our territory? But noooo they give all the credit to Snowheart. At least Cherrypool and Leafstar believe in me.....

    Spottedpelt came in the den breaking my thoughts and angrily meowed "Autumnpaw! Get up now! Your suppose to go hunting training, but no! Your on your lazy rump sitting and lazing the day away!" I saw her tail lashing like a angry snake, I just looked at her and smiled sarcastically "Oh, the great deputy of Sunclan. I'm very sorry for sitting here and resting while waiting for my mentor. I apologize for  my sinful doings...." I meowed sarcastically rolling my eyes, Spottedpelt's eyes looked like they were about to come out "How dare you back talk your clan's deputy!" She hissed in rage lashing her tail widely, instead of responding I got up and pushed passed her and left the den and looked for Snowheart, she was standing next to Petaltail discussing about the training and turned and Snowheart meowed "Oh Autumnpaw! Your awake, I would of felt bad if I woke you up so I let you sleep for a little bit.." I smiled at her generosity and bowed my head in thanks.

We padded through the forest, Snowheart and Petaltail padded behind me and Rainpaw why they chatted "So, today we're going to learn how to hunt birds." I heard Petaltail say behind us and Rainpaw looked back and asked "But we don't hunt birds? Why should we? That's Snowclan's job." Petaltail looked like she would smack him in the face and I couldn't help but giggle even though I didn't know why either "Because, if we have no food, we need to learn how to catch birds." Snow heart responded kindly not wanting Petaltail to rip the apprentice's head off, Petaltail just huffed and entered the training hollow "Why are we here if we-" Rainpaw started but quickly hushed when Petaltail gave him a stare that would make a kit have nightmares Wow, I knew she was intimating but not that much! I thought and stood there and chuckled at Rainpaw's scared face.

        Petaltail crouched and signaled with her tail tail for us to crouch and watch, I looked to where she was looking and saw she was looking at sparrow that hopped under a bush, Petaltail began crawling towards it, like she was hovering making no noise as she crawled towards and I opened my mouth to gasp but Snowhearts fluffy tail covered it before I could as she got up and pounced on one of the sparrow's wings, the sparrow batted its wings widely and struggled to get away but Petaltail lifted her paw and landed it on the Sparrow's back with her claws unsheathed crushing the sparrow's spine and it fell limp, Petaltail turned and meowed "Who wants to try first?"

       I parted my mouth looking for a scent of any sort of bird, I smelt a bird on a tree a couple cat-lengths in head of me, I crouched down and focused my eyes on what looked like another sparrow sitting on a low branch on a tree Why does it have to be on a tree? I thought miserably and looked back to see Petaltail giving me a taunting look, I wrinkled my nose and turned back towards the bird. I lifted my paw and placed it quietly on the ground and smiled slightly in satisfaction, I watched my paw in every step I took and made sure my tail wouldn't touch to rustle anything on the ground, I looked up from a bush next to the tree where the bird was perched, I bunched my muscles up and outstretched my paws with my claws unsheathed and jumped up towards the bird who saw me and fluttered its wings and startedto fly away when I landed on the branch and jumped, catching the bird mid-air and landed on the ground with a thud knocking the wind out of me. I sat there for a few seconds before the lifting the bird up meowing "I caught it." Rainpaw and Snowheart began to laugh and walked up to me to help me up and Petaltail just glared at me and gave a little sign of approval but that's it Who cares anyways...

       We walked back to camp with us carrying 3 birds from training, We entered we walked to the prey pile and dropped down our prey and began to carry on with whatever when I heard Leafstar call "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Sun rocks for a clan meeting!" I shot my ears up and excitedly sprinted underneath the Sun rocks and sat down eagerly He's calling the cats for the gathering! I thought in excitement and quickly realized cats were staring and I licked my chestfur and calmed down, Once everybody had gathered he began "The gathering is tonight and I have chosen the warriors who will be going to the gathering. The cats who will be going are Spottedpelt, Cherrypool, Greyclaw, Sandpaw, Snowheart, Autumnpaw, Berrypelt, Oceanpaw, Liontail, Thistlefur, Mousepaw, and Speckledfoot. Go rest up, we leave at dusk." He finished and walked into his den calling "Clan dismissed."

     I walked behind Snowheart as we walked towards the gathering "Do you think the gathering will be better this time?" I asked hopefully and she shrugged "Who knows, but don't let anybody tell you that you are a kittypet, because your not. You gave up your life as one to train to become a warrior." I nodded and fell quiet for awhile until Oceanpaw sprinted towards me when we were about enter the cave that lead to Clan rocks "I can't wait!" Oceanpaw said with a smile "Last time was so dramatic! It was interesting!" I grunted in response and walked down the chilly tunnel that lead to Clan rocks.

(Im sorry for being dead. I haven't really felt the urge to write so I took a break, I know this chapter isn't the longest but like I said, I haven't felt the need to write, maybe I'll write more, or not for the next month. Who knows :^)
