Autumn's Destiny

I stared into the black tunnel and looked at my mentor "What do you think it is?" Spottedpelt rolled her eyes and Snowheart twitched her tail "We think it leads to Darkclan." Snowheart said while Tinypaw ran into it "I'm going to check it out!" He meowed but Pebblefoot grabbed his scruff and pulled him back "No, we're not sure what's in there and we don't want you getting hurt." She grumbled dropping him with a thud, Tinypaw yelped when he landed "It didn't hurt that bad." Pebblefoot meowed coldly and went back staring at the hole.

   After awhile of  discussing Spottedpelt said smirking "Let's send Autumnpaw in." The other cats looked at her confused "You wanted to be helpful right?" Spottedpelt mewed sounding less than convincing but nodded despite the fear crawling on my back, I mewed making sure I heard her right "Me?" Spottedpelt flattened her ears "You heard me." And I blinked Does she want me getting killed by a Darkclan cat?!  "Go ahead! we'll wait right here." She said and Snowheart growled while starting to bristle "You can't send a apprentice with barely any training in there! What if a Darkclan cat attacks her! How could we help her?" Spottedpelt narrowed her eyes and scoffed  "Are you doubting your deputy?" Snowheart snorted letting her fur lay flat and growled "I am her mentor and I have the right to make sure she's safe." She turned swiftly and wrapped her tail around me and walked trowards the tunnel It's now or never.. I thought having one look back at Spottedpelt's smug face and turned walking into the tunnel.

I fluffed out my fur against the cold wind blowing through the narrow stone tunnel, I shivered looking at the blackness in front of me, I sniffed and got the strong scent of Darkclan  I started to walk faster desprate to get this over with, I jumped when I heard Snowheart's voice behind me "Do you see anything?!" She yowled and I gasped when I turned and yelled back "I see light!" I started to sprint towards it  with Snowheart racing behind me and soon reached the end

I saw a dark forest full of pine trees It's so dark! It must be Darkclan! I thought sniffing the air Defiantly Darkclan. I yelled into the tunnel "It's Darkclan!" There was no respond for awhile Did they leave?  But then heard one of them yell " Alright you can come back!" And I huffed out a sigh of relief This place is so....scary.. She thought turning and walking back into the tunnel

  We arrived at camp while Leafstar was calling people for the gathering "Thistlefur, Mousepaw-" Spottedpelt meowed cutting him off "May I speak to you?" Leafstar looked down at her in surprise but nodded and Spottedpelt hopped up the rocks into Leafstar's den where her and Leafstar disappeared behind the vines "Why did she do that?" Rainpaw asked making me jump "You almost scared me out of my fur!" I said bristling and lowered my voice to a soft hiss "Darkclan has a tunnel into our territory." He gasped and shook his head "That can't be!" I opened my mouth to respond but Leafstar meowed "Autumnpaw, My den." I stood up and mouthed to Rainpaw "What's happening?" and he looked at me and mouthed back "I don't know!" And flicked his tail for me to keep walking and I turned and hopped up the rocks to Leafstar's den.

I pushed through the vines and entered Wow, this place is pretty nice.. I thought looking at the small cave with vines all across the walls and a piece of bedding near the entrance. I looked up and saw them waiting patiently looking at me, I sat down quickly How long was I looking? "You needed me?" I meowed quickly and Leafstar just looked and said "It is pretty nice, Isn't it?" I nodded quickly "I have heard that Darkclan has a tunnel leading into our territory..." He said slowly and I nodded in response "I think there is, at the end of the tunnel was Darkclan I'm pretty sure." Spottedpelt rolled her eyes and Leafstar flicked his tail "I will announce this, thank you Autumnpaw." Leafstar said standing up and walking out of his den with Spottedpelt right behind him.

I sprinted down the rocks and ran towards Rainpaw who was talking to Oceanpaw "Rainpaw! Rainpaw!" I yelled and stopped next to him "Leafst-" I started but Leafstar cut me off yelling "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey gather beneath the Sunrock for a clan meeting!" and Rainpaw laughed and whispered "Tell me afterwards."

All the cats started to gather while Leafstar sat up on Sunrock with Spottedpelt behind him twitching her tail impatiently "Today a patrol ran into a tunnel to where they think is Darkclan." Leafstar said and immediately yowls of protest and anger arose "We need to attack!" One yowled angerly "My kits! What about my kits!" A queen wailed wrapping her tail around her kits protectively, Leaftstar raised his tail and the cats hushed "We aren't going to attack right away. We don't know for sure." He meowed calmly and Stopptedpelt stood up bristling and meowed "What do you mean we don't know? It led straight to Darkclan!" Leafstar quickly looked at her and growled "Why do you always question me Spottedpelt? I'm your leader and chose you as my deputy? And this is how you act?" The cats gasped to started to whisper and Leafstar stood up and meowed "Clan dismissed." And walked away with Spottedpelt behind him.

(Omg! Sorry for not posting! I have been super busy lately with school and stuff. But hopefully I'll update more over summer!)
