Autumn's Destiny

I woke up with a chilly breeze ruffling my fur, I sighed This is so much better than being inside of a hot house....or is it? I was cared for and didn't have to worry about anything... But the prophecy is my responsibility and mine alone, no one can carry this burden....and I'm stuck with it. I tried to stand up but a toppled back down Foxdung! Why did I have to bring Hazelkit to the forest and let her run off! Ugh! I'm such a mousebrain! I tried to stand up again and I was successful, I walked out of the den and watched Spottedpelt set up patrols I wish I could..It's so boring in Cherrypool's den... I wonder what's it like to be deputy...or even better! Leader! It must be stressful...I'm sorta glad I'm useless! I laughed at my own thoughts and saw people staring and stopped Rude. Can't a young she-cat have fun? I guess not. I walked away into the woods.

I walked deeper into the forest and scrambled into some bushes to bump into Petaltail "S-Sorry Petaltail.." I rasped backing up when she stuck out her foot and tripped me "Ah!" I yelled in pain as I landed on back "Awww look! The kittypet can't even walk!" Petaltail laughed with a bunch of other cats I didn't know, I stood back up with my tail in between my legs and backed up.

"Are you going to run back to your kittypets?" One sneered

"Look at her face! She I so scared! Isn't she Petaltail?" Another said

"Surround her! So she can't escape!" One yelled

Before I could escape the unfamiliar cats surrounded me Starclan help me! I closed my eyes Oh Speckledpool! Help me! Where are you when I need you?! I opened my eyes to see them running off and a whisper in my ear "I am always with you Autumnpaw, May we light your path through your darkest times." What Just happened? Was it Speckledpool? I shrugged and walked back to camp with all my senses alert.

I entered camp with Cherrypool staring at me, I didn't look her so I wouldn't make it feel awkward, but it was almost impossible with her stare burning the back of my fur, I turned and finally met her gaze What now... I walked towards her "Yes?" I rasped glaring at her Can I ever get a break?! "Just you have been....never mind." Cherrypool trailed off looking down and entering her den "You have to stay in camp." I heard her say before she disappeared into her den, I hissed Seriously? She is keeping me in camp? To do what? Lick my butt and get fat like everybody expects?! I guess so! I thought stomping away to the apprentice's den and laying down.

  Why are these cats so annoying?! Why can't I just go to the vet?! I would be healed quicker there...and I wouldn't be stuck in this boring camp! I just wanna run through the forest with the wind through my fur, the tree with tiny creatures on them who live such a great life. Until we kill them.... Those poor rodents and birds! They could have family waiting for them and we just kill them! Now I feel terrible..... But if we don't kill them, we will die.. I thought and then shook my head Why am I in deep thought again? Oh yeah cause I'm stuck in camp. I thought before I drifted to sleep.

I woke up to something prodding my side, I opened my eyes and saw Cherrypool standing over me "Sorry Autumnpaw, I needed to clean up your wounds." She said quietly, Seriously?While I'm sleeping? "Oh, thanks." I said wincing as she put stuff on the scratch on my neck.

We sat there quietly as Cherrypool did her thing until Cherrypool broke the silence "What happened yesterday? You came into camp with your fur ruffled..." I froze Was it that obvious? What do I tell her? If I told her, Petaltail would murder me! "Oh, I took a walk to, um clear my mind." I told her not meeting her gaze, Cherrypool hesitated and then sighed "Alright, I thought you encountered a fight or something." She stalked out of the den with her eyes dark

How does she know?

Sorry for not updating! I have gotten back into school and have been very busy T^T; And may not post for the next few days cause my area is expecting snow! Like a inch or so...BUT STILL! I hope all of you guys had great Holidays! Cause I did ^^
