Autumn's Destiny

     Leafstar went to Cherrypool's den with me following, What will Cherrypool think? I guess I'm going to find out... We entered her den as she turned to see us and we didn't even have to say anything "Is it a yes?"  "Yes..? Is that bad?" I asked with as normal as a voice as possible but inside I was kinda scared I thought, as I saw her eyes start light up "Really? Awesome! Leafstar go make her a apprentice! Now!" She said with enthusiasm and impatience "Right, Now Autumn you have the chance to turn your tail and go back to your twoleg." Leafstar said sternly, Twoleg? Is that what they call humans? But I know that I had to stay for these cat's sake.

    "Autumn, you have chosen to become a clan cat, and it is time you become apprenticed, From this day on, until you receive your warrior name, you will be known as Autumnpaw. Your mentor will be Snowheart. I hope Snowheart will pass on what she knows on to you." Leafstar yowled and with a flick of his tail a light silver she-cat with a heart on her cheek jumped up to the ledge with excitement and shock overflowing her movements. "Snowheart you are ready to take on a apprentice. You have received excellent training from Thistlefur, and you have shown yourself to be swift and brave, You will be the mentor of Autumnpaw, I hope you pass on everything you know to Autumnpaw." I stood up tall and straight as the cats below cheered my new name "Autumnpaw! Autumnpaw! Autumnpaw!"

             "Alright Autumnpaw, You ready to explore the territory?" Snowheart asked as we hopped down the rocks leading to the clan rock"Of course!" I said trying to mimic the same amount of enthusiasm my mentor did. We were walking through the territory when I noticed something in the distance, Is it a rabbit? No..is it a squirrel? I saw those things everywhere, I laughed at the thought but it didn't matter what it was. I just needed to catch it, so I crouched and stayed as still as possible and I wiggled my butt and jumped and I felt bare earth under me and before I could catch myself, I face planted "Ow!" I yowled in pain, I heard my mentor's giggle but as soon as she realized I was hurt she ran towards me "Are you ok?" Wow. Of course I'm fine! I hit my nose in the same spot as I did yesterday..or the day before? I can't remember, But I sucked it up and said stubbornly "Yes I'm fine." And I stood up and brushed dirt off my fur "Its your first time! Don't feel bad." Snowheart said I attempt to comfort me "Yeah...I guess.." I said quietly "Now lets continue, There's a really large tree that I would like to show you!" Snowheart said leading me towards a path.

We entered a smol clearing with a large trunk in the middle "Look up." Snowheart whispered, so I looked up and I saw a large tree with beautiful pink flowers "Woah...." I whispered in awe, I asked her "Has anyone ever climbed it?" as I said that she looked at me in confusion "Well, Its dangerous but legend says a cat when Sunclan was just made, A cat tried to climb this tree....but....the cat died at the attempt and no one has tried ever since." Snowheart answered with fear in the edge of her voice "And I'm not going to be the next..." I looked at her wide eyed, Did the cat actually die? Did he fall? A eagle? Did he slip? "Now come on, lets head back to camp." 

   When we entered camp she told me I could get food so I went to a pile with rabbits, mice, Black bird, and some other stuff I didn't recognize so I grabbed the smallest mouse and sat alone near some bushes and ate my smol mouse alone. While I was eating I felt the glares of all my new clanmates, I just got up and walked to Cherrypool's den and ignored their glares. "Hey Cherrypool?" I asked quietly I saw Cherrypool enter from a tunnel "Oh its you, What is it Autumnpaw? Why are you troubled dear?" She answered with a gentle tone "Do you think I will ever be accepted?" Cherrypool paused Did I ask something I shouldn't? "Well Autumnpaw....."  She said slowly "Of course you will be, But it may take time. Just...For right now, just give it some time ok?" Is that all she has to say?! Isn't she suppose to help me?! I sighed "Ok..." and I walked out of her den Is Rainpaw back yet? I wish he was, Cause I needed someone to talk...He is the only one who seems to care...
