Autumn's Destiny

 I woke up to the sun's bright sun beams in my eyes, I grunted and rolled over to avoid the sun's blinding light and I saw Wavepaw staring at me "Heya!" She whispered and I jumped "Ahhh-" I yelled as Wavepaw put her hand on my mouth "Shhhhh! If we act like we are asleep they won't make us get ticks off the Elder's!" She whispered and I nodded in response and shut my eyes as she put her paw next to her, I felt a swipe against my eye and shot open my eyes "What was that for!" I hissed "Don't go to sleep Mouse-brained!" She whispered as I rolled my eyes "And what are suppose to while I'm awake doing nothing." I scowled as her eyes lit up "We could mess with the others!" I shook my head "No. We could get in trouble!" She frowned "Well I guess your right..." 

 She stalked out of the den with her tail low Now I feel bad...should I apologize? "Wavepaw wait!" I called after scrambling to get up and follow "Watch where your going!" I heard Lightningpaw growl as I stepped on her tail "Sorry..." I whispered and exited the nice warm den into the chilly Leaf-fall, I exited and looked for Wavepaw Why do I feel so guilty? I was only doing the right thing... "Hey Cloudpaw, Ready for some ticks?" I heard Waterfish laugh walking up to me, I scowled "Of course I am! I'm sooo excited!" I turned away towards the Medicine Cat's den to see Wavepaw in there. 

 "Wavepaw! I'm so sorry!" I said running towards her and she turned "Oh, thanks Cloudpaw..." She turning back to Shellwing "So how about that Mouse Bile?" Shellwing padded to the back of her den and came back with Mouse Bile and handed it to both of us "Here, Thunderpaw should already be there to help." Shellwing said smiling and turned with a flick of her tail "Have fun!"

We walked into the Elder's den and saw Thunderpaw looking like he was about to throw up as he was getting ticks off Troutwing and turned to us "About time!" He said and turned to Troutwing "Your all done..." and was about to walk out of the den as Troutwing stopped him "Wanna hear a story?" Troutwing asked and I saw Thunderpaw freeze and looked at Troutwing bright eyed "Yes! I-I mean yes." Thunderpaw almost squealed and sat in front of Troutwing with his wide eyed eyes sparkling, Me and Wavepaw looked at each other and snickered and went to the other two elders and bit off their ticks as we listened to Troutwing's story 

    "When I was a kit I was never allowed out of the nursery. But one day me and my brother Brightfeather which was Brightkit at the time got out of the Nursery one night, and explored. We got to the river which was frozen,and I dared my brother to walk on it so he did, He was the bravest cat I knew...." The old cat paused " Whatever, going on! The ice started to break under him and he fell through, I didn't know what to do, I was so panicked but I ran back to camp and my father saved him...It is something I will never forget for as long as I live." We were done by the time he finished "Wow! I wouldn't know what I would do without Lightningpaw or Thunderpaw!" I exclaimed "Oh yes, Brightfeather was the brother I could be proud to look up to." I sighed Am I a good brother? I hope so..Lightningpaw and Thunderpaw are the best littermates I could of ever had...
