She kept glancing around, her eyes and ears alert for any sign of him. She knew that she shouldn't be doing this but Lamees couldn't help it. Her heart always picked up it's pace every time she thought of Gunner. There was no way to control that.
She had even tried distracting herself by working in her art journal. But she found herself coming back to the page where she had sketched him. He was taking over her thoughts. She dared to wonder if he ever felt the same way about her.
Just then, she heard his voice as he walked into the cafeteria with a group of friends around him. They stopped near the doors and started laughing about something. Her heart raced.
After a few seconds, Gunner glanced around the cafeteria and his eyes stopped on her, causing her to blush and look away. He smiled when he saw her fiddling with her scarf.
How could someone so timid and shy drive him so insane?
