Ware Shoals. A quiet mill town in 1930's South Carolina. Where everybody knows everybody and nothing gets past the back row Baptists and they're Bible study gossip sessions. The squat housewives of Ware Shoals have never had so much to "pray" about as they did in the year 1933. Not only was the depression at it's lowest point but the "depravity" of the youth in their perfect little town was blossoming to the surface. And it seemed to have everything to do with (first name yet to be decided) Mobly and the new preacher's daughter Mary Clenton.
