One Month Later

"... After she said that, she killed our horse, we ran, and it took us a month to get back here." Concluded Aiden. "Now you know the whole story." He said with a sad frown.

For once, everyone in Jesse's group gave the Ocelots sympathy. But they don't know if they should be impressed or freaked out by Jess for knowing it would take Aiden and Gill a month to get back here to the City, and exactly on Jennifer's birthday.

Well, everyone except the delivery girl. After putting the cake down in the kitchen, left and walked away, smiling at a job well done.

Lisa went to pay the girl for the cake, but the green-eyed girl just smiled and said. "It's for the birthday girl, so its on me." she said as Lisa thanked her, even gave the green-eyed girl a hug.

The delivery girl walked back to the bakery. "Tell your daughter I wished her a happy birthday!" she said cheerfully as they waved her goodbye. Who knew there are people so humble even during the war?

And now there is still one problem to deal with.

"Aiden, look I'm really sorry for your loss, but why are you here?" Jesse asked gently.

"I got to agree with Jesse here." Said Petra. "So far the only thing you explained was that you tried to capture Jess for the bounty, Lukas ditching you, and Maya died."

"Yeah," said Olivia. "Why are you really here?"

Gill recovered from the spike of sadness he felt, standing up straighter, and let out a deep breath. "I wanted to know if we could get your help."

"Help?" said Axel. "With what?"

"Going after Jess." Said Aiden. That name alone is enough to make him angry. "And avenging Maya."

"Going after my sister?!" asked Jesse, disbelieving. "Are you seriously asking us to go after my, really unstable and dangerous, sister?!"

"Honey, calm down." Said Lisa in her gentle voice. "I'll take care of this."

"But they-!"

"I know." She replied in a soothing tone. "But it's still our daughter's birthday," she looked to the descending sun. "Even though there is less time to celebrate now."

She then gave her husband a hug, and gently steered him towards the direction of the marketing area. "Why don't you go buy Jennifer something. While your there go stop by the bakery, and thank the delivery girl for bringing us the cake."

Jesse let out an exhausted sigh. "Alright, maybe I just need some fresh air." He started waking. "I'll be back in a bit."

After that, the Order of the Pig looked at the last remaining members of the Ocelots. Lisa talked first. "Why are you asking us?"

"We actually thought if just you could help us, Lisa." Said Gill, earning a slight glare from everyone else. "You're the leader of the police, who are also Templars, couldn't you lock her up, arrest her or something?" Gill asked desperately.

"First of all, I can't just pull my men away from the City because of a personal vendetta." Said Lisa, not angry, but in a respectful tone. "And even if I do, which I won't, what charges can I possibly press against my sister-in-law?"

"She nearly killed us and murdered our friend!" screamed Aiden. "That has to be enough for you to do something!"

"Not unless you have proof Aiden." Calmly said Lisa. "And before you say something, I'm not defending Jess, I'm just telling you how this works."
