Abhi*sternly*: manik you should not have done that

Manik*slowly* :I am sorry. Voh I was just angry and I dunno how I just....I am sorry

Abhi: you should apologise to someone else manik

Manik*sighs*: yeah...I'll talk to her

Aryaman: wait let me bring her down...bohot hurt aur gussa hogi baby doll

Abhi: chal main bhi aata Hu

Manik: guys can I go?

Abhi: are par-
Aryaman cut him off.

Aryaman: Abhi let him go

Abhi: fine but manik make sure you don't trouble her more
The over protective brother in him had started talking.

Aryaman: Abhi chill agar fir bhi nandu nahi maani na toh I'll go okay?

Abhi: okay

Manik went upstairs to the terrace because he very well knew that this was the very place where nandini will certainly go, her favourite place...under the moonlit sky with millions of scattered stars and he was right, there stood nandini leaning against the railing and muttering curses to manik. Manik chuckled looking at her cuteness and started taking slow steps towards her.

Nandini*muttering to herself*: monster....monkey....jerk....ass...huh samjhta kya hai voh khudko!? Jab chahe tab voh kuch bhi bolega aur main sunungi!...no ways!

"Gussa?" someone whispered huskily down her ear making her shiver and stop her self talking session of cursing manik. She instantly knew who it was so she did not reply.

Manik: nandu sorry na...please
Yes, it was manik.

She still remained quiet. Manik could no longer bear it and so turned her around towards him with a jerk, protectively holding her waist. This resulted in her banging in his chest, her breath hitched.

Nandini: ma-manik
She stuttered.

Manik: hmm?
He replied putting a hair strand behind her ear.

Nandini: yeh tum kya-

Manik: sshh
He shushed her, preventing her from completing her sentence by putting his finger on her lips while she stared at him all dazed.

Manik: star gussa hai?
He asked in a whisper. This reminds nandini that she was angry and starts struggling in his grip.

Nandini*hitting his chest*: manik chodo....monster leave me....manik!

Manik: not so easy

Nandini: monster!

Manik: I know I am one (winks)

Nandini: leave me!

Manik: sorry....please...I won't shout at you ever again

Nandini: you always do this but this time I won't forgive you
She said stubbornly, turning her face the other side pouting angrily just like a cute baby. Manik welt all aww on her.

Manik: nandu I am sorry sachi me? Please maaf kardo na...don't give me this silent treatment. Pleaseeeeee pretty pleaseeee

But nandini was still stubborn. Having no option, manik pulled her towards him with a jerk and as a result she banged on his chest and her hands landed involuntary in his chest.

Nandini: manik yeh-
Manik cut her off.

Manik: Tumhe pata hai meri star hai na voh mujhse bohot gussa hai kyuki I behaved like a jerk with her and abhi she is not even talking to me (pouts) ab main kya karu?

He says cutely staring intensely at nandini. Both were lost deep in each other's eyes.

Manik: ab main kar bhi kya sakta hu...main toh hu hi pagal...humesha impulsively hi behave karta hu and see I hurt her now. I am such a bad person and usse bhi zyada a worst friend....she's right...I am a big jerk

He said sadly.

Nandini: aye! Dare you talk bad about my best friend. I know he is a monster sometimes but he is my monster ok and only I can call him bad, jerk or whatever I want to get that? Only I have that right and you are no one to talk so much shit about him

She defended manik.

Manik: oh possessive much!

Nandini: ofcourse
She replied in a matter-of-factly tone.

Manik: but whatever he did was so wrong na

Nandini: yes it was but he is like that only and I like him that way and partially it was my mistake also

Manik*cupping her face*: no nandu its my fault

Nandini: no manik even I am at fault

Manik: hey! Like no one can insult your best friend, the same way even I haven't given any one the right to talk bad about my best friend ok? Even if it is herself....I won't stand that

Nandini just smiled and hugged him tight which he reciprocated equally. Both found their solace in each other's arms.
