Shawn got back home and his father was sittig on the couch.

- Dad can I ask you something?
- go ahead.
- Did you notice mom is acting kind of weird lately?
- Not really.. I guess she's just confused with how to deal with Aaliyah's death.
- I think it's more than that.
- what do you mean Shawn?
- no nothing..
-You should give her some time.. she will get better
- yeah I guess she will.. I mean I don't know either how to deal with Aaliyah's death.

Shawn started crying. This whole thing was too much for him. His career was on the line and his mom was so weird since Aaliyah died and he missed his little sister.. a lot.

Manny got up and hugged his son.

-it is gonna be okay shawn.. don't worry ..

The next day, he wanted to send a text to Andrea. It has been ten minutes he was staring at his screen when he finally press 'send'.

S: hey, it's Shawn, we met at Starbucks.

A: hii! How are you?

S: Im fine, how about you?

A: good thxs

S: I was wondering if you wanted to go on a date..?

A: you already asked me out the other day, remember? I said yes😏

S: Ok Im picking you up at 8 tonight?

A: yeah I live at *** *******

A: yeahh:))

Shawn went in the shower and then  he went in his room and looked for nice clothes. Since Aaliyah was gone, he only wore joggings and sweathshirt beside at her funeral. He finally choose his outfit.

Then he went downstairs to take his wallet but noticed something on the table. There was his mom laptop with a piece of paper on it. On the piece of paper, there was a phone number written:

( thats a random number, plz dont call there lol)

He took the paper and put it in his pocket.

It was already time to go pick up Andrea so Shawn took his keys and went to her house. He arrived and parked in front of her house and knocked on her door. Andrea opened the door. Andrea wore a short black dress with long sleeves. Her hair was straight and it was so long. Shawn thought she was beautiful.

- Wow! You look amazing!
- thank you..

She looked shy now that Shawn said that and there was an awkward moment.

- lets go!
- yeah but where are we going?
- you'll see.

They went in Shawn's jeep and Shawn drove to the fanciest restaurant in the town. When he parked Andrea looked confused:

- We are not going at that restaurant right?
- Yes we are.
- I don't have enough money Shawn.. We can go to McDonald's I'll still be happy
- no, I'm paying for you ,don't worry.
- No you're not, it's expensive.
- Trust me I have enough money to take you here everyday, he laughed
- What do you mean?
- Nothing but let's go now and stop worrying.
- ok..

They entered in the restaurant and the man at the entrance asked:

- Hi, do you have a reservation?
- Yes I do
- what's your name
- uh.. Shawn Mendes.

Andrea looked at him with big eyes. She just understand why Shawn had so much money..

- ok follow me please, said the man.

People were looking at Shawn and Andrea and some were even taking pictures. Andrea seemed worried about the one who took pictures and Shawn took her by the hand to reassure her.

When they sat Andrea said:

- Shawn, why didn't you tell me?
- what?
- you're a Singer right?
- yeah but I hate saying to people because I'm scared they would want to be my friend just because of it..
- oh ..
- I'm obsessed with one of your song..: bring it back. I just never knew what you look like because I'm a fake fan and I only know one song , she laughed.
- it's fine!
- people are looking at us and taking picture and it kind of annoys me..
- you'll get use to it, he smiled

- I hope you liked it even if a lot of people were spying on us, Shawn laughed.
- I still liked it don't worry.
- do you want to go out next Friday?
- sure.

Andrea opened the door of Shawn's jeep to go and Shawn took her by the arm. She looked at him. Shawn pulled her closer and kissed her. Andrea smiled and then she got out the car. When Shawn got home she had a message.
