My Angel - Emmett Cullen

Nearly flattened

I woke up to sunlight streaming through the huge window on the other side of Emmett's room. I sighed happily, feeling Emmett's arms wrapped tightly around me as I lay there with my head on his chest. "Morning angel." "Morning handsome." I replied groggily. He chuckled and kissed the top of my head. "What time is it?" "About 6:30." "Oh great, school." Note the sarcasm. I got out of bed with a groan and made my way over to my bag and pulled out my outfit for the day. As I passed Emmett, who was still in bed, on my way to the bathroom. He grabbed my hand and pulled me bag down to him causing me to squeal. "Emmett! I need to get ready for school." I say giggling as he holds me to his chest kissing my cheek. "I will let you go if.... you go on a date with me tonight." "Well that depends Mr Cullen." I say with a sly smirk. "What would we be doing on this date." "Well I was thinking, we could go into Port Angeles. I'm not sure, what do you want to do?" "I don't mind as long as I get to spend time with you." He chuckled, "Cute." He said as he leant in and gave me a chaste kiss. As we pulled back he gave me a light slap on the ass, "Go get ready for school." I laughed at his silliness and slapped his chest lightly, "Well I was going to but someone distracted me."

I got up off of him and picked up my clothes that I dropped and walked into the bathroom. "Do you mind if I use your shower?" I ask poking my head out the door to see Emmett in a pair of jeans.... nothing else. I couldn't help but stare at his big, muscly chest as I bit my lip. He laughed, obviously knowing where I was looking, "Sure. I think Alice left a hair dryer in there for you." I smiled, "Thanks." "No problem babe!" He called out as I closed the bathroom door again.

After I showered and got dressed, I walked out to Emmett to find him sitting on his bed, thankfully fully dressed. I walked over and sat on his lap, our eyes locked and I couldn't help but get lost in his eyes. He sent me a cheeky smirk, "Ya know, I do love it when you wear crop tops." I blushed and looked down to my lap but he gently pulled my face back up to look at him and he brought his lips to mine.

After our mini make out session, Emmett and I made our way downstairs to see an excited Alice waiting by the door with Jasper, who is trying to keep her as calm as possible (but hey, it's Alice), a smiling Rose who was leaning into Danny's chest as he had his arms wrapped around her waste. Alice bounced over to me and pulled on my hand enthusiastically, "Come on! Let's go! Today is gonna be a good day!" We all chuckled and followed her out the door.

School just ended and we're standing by their cars talking and laughing. I notice Edward staring at Bella, "So Edward, a little birdy told me that you finally managed to talk to my sister without making her upset. Congratulations." He sent me a playful glare as the others and I chuckled. "I should probably go home with Bella." I turn to Emmett and give him a quick kiss, "I'll see you later, around 8?" "Sure thing angel." I gave him on last kiss and turned to the others, "I'll see you tomorrow guys." I said with a smile and started walking over to Bella and our truck.

All of a sudden I heard this awful screeching sound, Bella and I both whipped around to see Tyler's van skidding towards us. Neither of us could move, paralyzed by fear. As the van is about to crush Bella and I, we're knocked over. Shocked, I look up to see that Emmett and Edward are hovering over us both. I look into Emmett's eyes as he scans me over for injuries, "Baby are you okay?" I took a few seconds to reply, still in shock. "Yeah... Yeah I'm fine." People started rushing over and Emmett gave me a quick kiss on my forehead and he and Edward jumped over the back of the truck and ran off before anyone saw them.

Bella and I are sitting in the ER as an older nurse checks us over for any injuries. The doors opening catch my attention as I turn to see Dad, who sighs in relief when he sees us, "Bella, Alex." He says rushing over to us. "You okay?" He turns and sees Tyler in the bed nest to us and says, "You and I are gonna talk." Obviously not so happy that Tyler nearly flattened us with his van. "You girls okay?" "We're fine Dad." I say trying to reassure him. Tyler looks over to us guiltily, "I'm sorry Alex, Bella. I tried to stop." Bella nods to him, "It's okay." "No, it sure as hell is not okay." Dad says. "Dad it wasn't his fault." Bella protests. "You both could've been killed, do you understand that?" "We understand Dad. But we're fine." I said trying to calm him down. He turns to Tyler, still not happy, "You can kiss your license goodbye."
