Chapter 12

"Well technically I didn't laugh, I just really wanted to" He says smirking.

"Alright then smarty pants, let's start walking again, I think people are starting to stare" I whisper-yell to him, pointing behind his back to a couple who were looking at us like we were mad people.

"Good idea" He whisper-yells back.

We then continue our way back to the bus, grins still plastered on our faces.

We end up arriving back within minutes. We hastily making our way back into the tour bus as soon as we see it.

Just before I take my last step inside the bus a threatening white strike of lightning forks to the ground just across the road. I jump at the fright and clumsily stumble over my feet, falling backwards down the steps of the entrance.

I tense up, bracing myself for impact with the cold, hard stairs underneath me. I never hit them though, instead I felt a pleasant pair of warm hands gently catch me by my waist. It doesn't even register in my mind that Josh was the one who caught me.

"W-woah, are you okay?" He worriedly asks, still holding me by my waist.

A very light blush feathers my cheeks as I steady myself. He releases his grip as soon as I am standing still.

"Y-yeah, I was just was startled a bit by the lightning" I say, nervously turning around to face him.

"A bit? That was more then a bit, but alright, as long as you're okay." He laughs as his worried look melts away into a small smile.

I awkwardly smile back and turn around to continue on into the bus, embarrassment rushing through my body in a big wave.

I walk inside, immediately getting a greeting from Tyler and another guy with him, who I immediately recognise as Mark.

"Hey-o-oh um, you two look uh, wet." Tyler says almost surprised at the fact that we are drenched, even though it is raining outside, and we were just, outside.

Mark just laughs at the sight of us.

"Uh yeah, we were obviously just out in the rain, what else did you expect?" I say, walking by them to the bathroom. I smile at Mark as I pass by.

"Well I expected you to come marching in with an elephant balancing on your shoulders" He calls out behind me. "My expectations were not met!"

I smile as I open the bathroom door, walking in and throwing the few bags of clothes in my hands on to the ground. I shut the door behind me.

I actually feel like I belong

Briefly I turn to the mirror and get a glance of myself and do an immediate double take.

"Oh-my-gosh." I whisper to myself, realising I look like an absolute mess.

Forgetting to wash off my makeup from yesterday, plus my recent 'shower from the sky' has left me looking like an absolute mess.

"I looked like this in front of them. In front of Tyler and Josh. And Mark oh god, talk about good first impressions" I whisper again, still in shock.

"Okay, I can fix this, I can fix this" I say as I start to delicately shuffle through the cabinet underneath the sink, hoping that they somehow have a brush of some sort.

"Yes!" I whisper-yell in triumph, holding up the small comb that was in a lower shelf of the cabinet.

Okay so I'll brush my hair out, then wash my makeup off with the soap next to the sink, and then change into fresh clothes.
Hopefully I'll look less like a mess then.

Gently, I comb through my hair, brushing out any knots. I then pull my hair back into a loose ponytail and pump the random soap that is on the sink into my palm, thoroughly cleaning my face with it.

Probably not good for my skin but oh well

I then pat my face down with a towel and hastily move towards the bags of clothing.

I pull out a black t-shirt and a pair of soft sweatpants similar to the pair that Josh had gave to me. I also pull out a pair of bra and undies, cringing at the memory of how awkward I had felt while buying them with Josh.

I change into all of the new clothing items and hang up my wet clothes on the rack behind me. Turning back to the mirror I double check to make sure I look presentable enough and then walk out the door with the bags.

I quickly place them on top of my bunk in the other room and then walk out to the three guys.

WhOop-Di-DoO sorry for a boring chapter!! I was started writing this as a filler chapter a little while ago but stuff should be getting more interesting soon
