"Is this what you're looking for?"
Wait...
I recognise that voice?
~
Oh crap
Is it who I think it is?
My heart pounded against my chest, threatening to break free. I quickly spun around to see if my ears had heard correctly. And to my surprise, my guess was correct. The voice was indeed, from the one and only Josh Dun. He was standing there, still shirtless from the show. His skin glistened in the light and his pink hair shone brightly.
I glanced down towards his hand that he had outstretched towards me, presenting the object he held in his fingers. It was my pin. Josh dun had found my pin. I moved my eyes back up to his face.
Wow It's really him
One of my inspirations.
I shook myself out of my thoughts
"Yes, actually it is!" I said happily, a warm smile spread across my lips.
I walked over to him and gently took it from his fingers.
"Thank you" I said with gratitude.
He smiled back with a nod.
"No problem, really. I've got to say though, it's a very nice pin." He said as I re-pinned it to my jacket. "I'm a little jealous of it actually." He breathily laughed.
His soft yet deep voice sent butterflies through my stomach as he spoke those words.
"T-thank you. It was a gift from my dad." I said, trying my best to keep my composure so I didn't come across as crazy.
"So what's your name?" He asked with curiosity.
"[Y/n], [Y/n] [L/n]." I said.
"Nice to meet you [y/n]. My name's Josh, although you may or may not have known that." He smiled sheepishly as he rubbed the back of his neck.
"I knew already. I would be an asshole if I came to your concert without knowing your name." I laughed, and so did he.
I really wanted to continue this conversation badly, but I thought he probably wanted to leave and do other more productive things.
But then I think,
What if he did want to stay?
Maybe he wanted to talk to me?
I frowned at my thoughts.
"W-well um... I don't want to waste your time, and this security guard kind of wants me out of here" I said, gesturing to the guard that was waiting impatiently behind me.
"But, before I go... um, may I possibly be able to get a picture with you?" I asked biting my lip, raising my shoulders up.
I cannot meet Josh Dun without taking the opportunity to get a picture with him.
"Okay two things" Josh said as he raised two fingers.
"One," he said with one finger raised.
"You are definitely not wasting my time."
"And two," He raised a second finger.
"Of course!" He said, flashing a contagious grin.
I grinned back and reached for my phone, swiftly slipping it out of my back pocket.
"Thank you!" I said as I walked over.
I stopped besides him.
"Wait, can I take the photo?" He asked.
"Uh, sure!" I said happily.
He wrapped one of his strong arms around my shoulder as I handed him my phone. He snapped a few photos, us both changing our expression in each one.
One smiling,
One silly,
And one random one.
He then awkwardly asked the security guard to take a full body shot of us together. I couldn't help but smile goofily at how kind he was.
Once the photos were taken the guard handed the phone back to me and I thanked him. I quickly flipped through the photos, double checking I didn't look horrible. Although if I had looked bad I wouldn't have dared to ask for more as I feel that would have been rude.
With the smile still being plastered on my face I looked back up to him.
"Thank you so much. You don't realise how much this means to me!" I said.
"You're welcome" He softly smiled, his eyes shone down at me with warmth.
We stood there, looking at each other with small smiles. As I looked at him with a heavily beating heart, I realised that this was the happiest I had been in years and my smile grew. I didn't want it to end, ever. I didn't want the happiness to leave, otherwise I would shrink back into what felt like a soulless vessel.
My phone chimed, which caused me to jump with fright. I tore my gaze from Josh to my phone in hand. Instantly my heart stopped and my smile faded. It was a text from my mom, with another five joining along.
I hadn't noticed, but Josh peaked over and read the texts, as my phone had been at the right angle to do so. His smile faded as well.
