"Heat of the moment! Telling me what your heart meant

The heat of the moment shone in your eyes!"

Angelica woke up to the sound of the cheerful Asia song. As she stretched, her eyes still closed, dean's voice crept in her ears:

"GOOD MOOORNING ANGEL!! RISE AND SHINE SAMMY!"

She smiled and returned the greeting, but caught Sam in an unusual mood. His brows were crossed, his eyes- red and overall, he looked stressed out.

"Everything okay?" she asked him softly.

"Dude! Asia!" Dean exclaimed.

Sam replied to her with a soft nod.

They went down for breakfast where Sam told her about Groundhog day. She didn't remember anything like it. But soon he went to a gentleman and caught hold of him claiming him to be the Trickster.

"The Trickster is dead! We killed him last year Sam, don't you remember?" she screamed at him when he was about to slice the innocent man's throat.

But the guy morphed into a younger looking man. Golden eyes and slicked back hair. "The Trickster?" she asked herself.

He talked them into letting him go and live a Wednesday, and somewhere in her heart she was happy they didn't kill him.

PRESENT TIME. 2 DAYS AGO

"Gabriel, okay? They call me Gabriel." The Trickster said.

"Gabriel? Like the Archangel?" Angelica asked.

"Guilty." He replied with a plastered smile on his face.

Dean and Sam asked him all the other questions like how he became the trickster and he explained to them how they were "The vessels". Angelica just stood there listening. Her mind blank, and her face lacking any expression. It was a mixture of betrayal, disappointment, awe, anger and anxiety. And the feeling her eyes bore the most were of helplessness.

"This isn't about some prized fight between your brothers or some destiny that can't be stopped. This is about you being too afraid to stand up to your family!" Dean's voice echoed in the abandoned building as he howled at Gabriel. Those words stung her as if they were being said about her. She felt sorry about the poor guy. The way Dean and Sam were the main characters in this story, and she was a sidekick, Michael and Lucifer were the magnanimous issues Heaven, even God himself, cared about, forgetting about how it affected the youngest Angel.

"We're out of here. C'mon Sam."

Sam tightened his grip around her wrist almost dragging her outside, as she blankly stared at Gabriel in the holy fire circle with her eyes filled with tears to the brim.

Quietly, she released her hand from his grip, hiding any signs of sadness, and broke the fire alarm glass, leading to an indoor rain of extinguishers and the tears. Dean observed his sister.

"Don't say we never did anything for you". Dean said finally before storming off, only to be followed by Sam and Castiel.

"I'm sorry." She said with a deep agony in her voice, wrestling the urge to break down.

"It's not your fault. I'll be fine." Gabriel said, a clear expression of shock in his voice.

As Angelica turned around to leave, she heard him say "We'll meet again soon Angelica."

Before she could turn back and ask what he meant, he had gone.

An unreasonable connection that was weirdly strong enough to make one of the strongest female hunters in the world weak at the knees. Unidentified. Yet similar in ways words can't describe. A stranger he was not.
