We all gather around the table and take our seats. I sit in between Will and Sam and Dayne sits next to Will.

"So Jennifer! Sam!" Michelle speaks as she serves everyone waffles.

"How excited are you to be graduating high school?" She asks.

"Pretty excited," I smile. "I really just can't wait to spend the summer on the beach," I nod.

"Jennifer loves it down there. We have a pool, but she always insists on running down to the beach instead!" My mom says.

"Yeah, usually to see Liam," My dad adds, and Sam starts up another coughing fit.

"Who's Liam?" Will asks, nudging my arm.

"He's just a friend," I shrug it off.

"A friend that's taken her to homecoming and prom for the past three years," My dad says.

"Not to mention he's always spending nights here," He adds and I drop my fork.

"Dad," I say shooting him a glare.

"Gary, you're embarrassing her. Liam is a very nice neighborhood boy whom Jen likes the company of," My mom speaks and I put my face in my hands.

"Please stop," I groan.

"No, I like talking about Liam," Will smirks.

"I do not," Sam mumbles next to me.

"Well I think you ought to meet my son Josh! He just graduated from his high school in Kentucky," Michelle adds.

"Yeah, he wasn't all that happy about leaving home right after graduation," Dayne adds finishing off his pancake.

"Oh really?" I ask biting into my waffle.

"He wanted to spend his last summer there, but Mom wouldn't let him," He says raising an eyebrow to his mother.

"I was not going to leave that boy alone with his friends for a whole summer," She says giving her son a look. "But he's a very charming boy," She adds.

As we eat our breakfast, Dayne and Will share stories about college and the different courses they're taking. Dayne wants to travel and Will wants to move to New York to teach at the Institute of Technology. Their stories are so intriguing. I find myself staring up at Will, so I quickly turn away and take a bite of an apple. After breakfast, we all pile to the back deck.

"Thank you for making us feel so welcomed," Michelle speaks on behalf of her and her sons.

"No problem, we really enjoyed having you," my father speaks.

"If Sam and Jen want to come over to hangout a little bit, we'll be happy to introduce them to our other brothers. I'm sure Mom won't mind staying," Will offers

"Oh, I don't want to over stay my welcome," Michelle says shaking her head.

"Oh it's no problem! We were just about to make a fresh batch of lemonade," My father says.

She squints at her sons who look to her with grins and raised eyebrows. "You be nice now," She says with a smile before kissing them both on the cheek.

"See you later," I say before walking down the steps to the beach.

I didn't bother to bring any shoes or flip flops. I love feeling the sand beneath my feet. The sun warms my legs as we walk to their beach house. I trail behind Will and Dayne as they continue in their own conversation. I didn't notice before, but Dayne appears to shorter than Will.

After passing Sam's, we walk up the deck to the Hutcherson house. There's already deck chairs set up and their pool already seems to be filled.

"Did you guys already fill up the pool?" I ask as we walk to the sliding door.
