Will You Catch Me?

Mercedes grinned as Seth hopped on a table on catering and started dancing while trying to get her to dance with him

She finally gave up and allowed herself to be pulled up on the table

He laughed as he spun her into his chest before they both went crashing to the ground.

Seth landing on his back and Mercedes landing on his chest

"Hi," he breathed a little nervous at their proximity

Mercedes' eyes scanned the length and width of his lips before green met brown

"Hey," she replied before she placed a hand on his cheek and leaned down

"Hey kids!" A voice screeched making Seth fly up, hitting his forehead against Mercedes'

She looked up and saw Dean frowning

"Hey Dean-o," she said reaching a hand down to help Seth up which he gladly took

"Was I interrupting?" Dean asked faking concern

"Yes," Mercedes said
"No," Seth said

Mercedes smiled softly at Seth as he and Dean began conversation but Seth continuously looked at Mercedes and blushed when he was caught.

After Dean had gone to get ready for his and Seth's match. He smiled and sat near Mercedes in his previous position and he took Mercedes' hand in his. She tensed at first then relaxed and wrapped her fingers around his.

She smiled and tapped his nose with her finger

"Are you in love with me?" Seth asked

Mercedes studied his face, it was obviously bothering him and had been on his mind, weighing him down

She sighed and decided to be honest with him, tightening her grip on his hand

"Look Seth, I've had a past that has made me put up thick walls that people won't be able to break, I like you Seth, but I already told you I don't fall in love," she said to him

He nodded solemnly

The look on his face made her feel like she was the scum of the fucking earth

"Hey, hey, hey, look at me," she said grabbing his chin between her index and middle finger

"I didn't say it will never happen, it very well could, and it damn sure will, you are one of the cutest, smartest and sweetest people I've ever met, and I'd be stupid not to fall for you," she said to him he slightly smiled at her

"Do you love me?" She asked him
"Yes." He answered without hesitation

"Will you always love me?"

He thought this time. It was her face he saw when he closed his eyes.

"Yes." He breathed she smiled at him

"Maybe one day I'll say the same," she replied

"But hey," she said tapping his nose again
He looked at her and grinned, loving when she did that

"If I fall, will you catch me?" She asked him

"Always."
