Mercedes was fast asleep when a heavy knocking at the front door of her hotel room woke her the fuck up.
She groaned and hit her pillow before she slowly trudged herself up and out of bed and to the front door.
She sighed and unlocked it
Probably some weirdo looking for a whore she thought
She yawned and pulled open the door, only to scramble to catch the body that fell into her arms
"Seth," she questioned looking down as he drunkenly smiled at her
"Hello," he said carrying the whiskey bottle to his lips, she yanked it away from him
"No more Seth," she disciplined before carrying the bottle to the fridge and she raked her fingers through her raven hair
She looked around and saw Seth sitting on the lanai watching the night sky
She smiled slightly at his child-like wonder and sat near him
"You ever wonder what its like to touch the clouds and suck angels?" He asked looking at a passing cloud
Mercedes choked a laugh and covered her mouth before she regained her composure
"Is that a thought you have a lot Seth?" She asked
He nodded
She smiled at him
"You ever wonder what its like to kiss a crab?" He mused to her
"I mean, I have kissed a tree but a crab interests me I guess," he said she smiled at him
He moved closer to her
"Sometimes I stop and just think about all the people who mean something in my life and I just appreciate them so much you know? Like Dean, Roman, mom and dad, my brother, WWE, you," he spoke
She looked at him shocked
"I mean, I haven't had one dream since I ran into you that hasn't been about you, its scary to me, but at the same time, I, I kinda like it," he said before he smiled and turned Mercedes' chin so that she faced him
"I love you Mercedes," he said slowly and only slightly slurred
She gasped and closed her eyes only to feel his lips against hers, she dutifully kissed back and felt him smile into the kiss
"I think it's time to get some sleep," she said awkwardly when they parted he sighed and nodded
She put him in her bed, figuring she'd take the couch.
She was about to say goodnight when light snores filled her ears. She smiled at him and turned off the light and walked to the couch and laid down
She was tired. But Seth's words ran through her mind like clockwork
"I love you,"
"I love you,"
"I love you,"
She closed her eyes and finally fell asleep the words not giving her any peace at all
