Five Months Later...

"Congratulations again Darling! Good luck in college!" Said my Dad through the phone. Graduation day was finished and everything seems to be happening so fast. I got into college (thank God) but, its still so surreal to me. I never thought I could do it. I remember how happy I was learning that I was class Valedictorian of the year. Mom cried so much and I remember Teri crying too. Not to brag or anything but, I am proud of myself. It just goes to show that when you set your heart into anything, you can make the impossible possible.

Everybody seems to be heading on their own direction. Everybody has their own roads and now, they are all taking it. Tamara went to California for College and from what I've seen in her social media accounts, she is happily dating Craig. The perfect jerk couple, I hope they won't multiply. (That was a joke)

I finally said goodbye to my Dad and held back tears as I did. This is all too hard yet very exciting. I stuffed my jacket onto my suitcase and trudged along dragging my trolley out into the car. I found dormitory a couple of blocks away from my school which is pretty good yet nerve-racking. I'll be sharing a room with a stranger. Cool.

I also passed my driving lessons and now I have my own license. But, it really is useless to me now because I still don't own a car and Im not even allowed to drive my mother's car until I'm eighteen. Joy.

I ran to my mom and gave her a hug. "I will miss you sweet heart. I can't believe you're leaving for college!" She said tears streaming down my mom's face and George who is now my step father comforts her. "Come on mom, you have George right here!" my mom managed a smile and I wiped the tears from her cheeks. It feels weird to have a step-dad. It always felt so awkward to approach him and not knowing what to say or to do when around him but, he's alright. Anyone who can stand our family's craziness and wild shenanigans is worth being nice to.

"Goodness it's already noon! Go on, I can hear Harry's car now. You bring an umbrella it's pouring outside!" Mom said ushering me outside but, I take one last look at our living room because, I know it'll be a long time before I could go back and sit on it back again. I looked at my Mom and gave her a hug embrace, which she returned with a bone crushing hug. "Call me okay?" She whispered and I nodded holding back tears. I have never been away from my Mom (not that long) but, it is just something I need to learn. George gives me an awkward pat on the shoulder making me snort just a little. He heaved my suitcase down just in time for Harry to get out of his car.

I raised my hood up and rolled my suitcase over. It has been quite rainy since the graduation and chances of having a sunny day are a little impossible. I saw Harry waving his hand. "Hello there short stuff." He said grinning. "Thank you Harry, now can you help me over?" he lifts my suit case inside his car. "Damn, your suit case is heavy what did you bring? Rocks?" he laughs. "Maybe." I smile and climb inside.

To set the record straight, No. Harry and I are not dating. We became good friends after that day in the library. He decided not to go back to his old school and finish the year with us. He graduated with flying colours of course and is now attending the same university as I am.

I finally made peace with Teri and Ryan and we are all doing well. Teri is also with me but her boyfriend, Ryan decided to take a Gap Year. Ryan has decided he needed time to think things over—to find himself or some sort. Teri was fine with the idea and is very sportive of Ryan's choices.
"You ready?" asked an excited looking Teri. "Of course I am!" I said climbing up Harry's van and cranking up the volume of the stereo. Harry just finished fixing my heavy suit case and went inside to start the engine.

Harry started driving but, a couple blocks away, his van came to an abrupt halt that made us all jump off our seats. "Harry! What the hell is wrong with you?" Exclaimed Teri fixing her hair and her messed up sweater. "Sorry! It's just---" he stopped and looked around and checked if he hit something or if something else happened to his car.
