Slowing

How confusing

Simply the sight of you inspires lines of poetry

...Her smile lays waste to the rest of my world until it is all can see...

...Her laugh undoes the tightly wound knots in my heart, one after another...

...Her eyes hold the colors of a thunderstorm...

...She herself is a force of nature, sweeping me away...

And yet, the words seem to run out sometimes

No, maybe it is not the words

It is my will to write them that is beginning to fade

Every letter

Every sentence

Represents something you will never experience

For even if you see through my facade

And understand the meaning behind my actions

I doubt you will ever know what my affection feels like

I doubt you will ever let me walk up behind you

Wrap my arms around your waist

And rest my head on your shoulder

I  doubt we will ever sit

You leaning against me

Me playing with your hair

I doubt we will ever travel through life

Hand in hand

At least, in the way I desire

No

It just doesn't seem possible

And so I slowly lose the will to write about you, my love

I will continue to hear those words floating through my head

Whenever you are near

And perhaps I'll put them on a page

But I have already said most of what can be said

And at this point

Repetition and sadness have lost their place in my life

********************************

Maybe I'll attempt to write an uplifting poem one of these days.....

...not sure how that would go. Anyway, I'm going go be doing a triple update today since I missed the last two days. Hope you enjoy! Love you guys!

Stay beautiful
