Some will argue that emotions are just a chemical reaction
Contained within our brain
Nothing more
As for me?
I don't know what I think they are
Although I'm not sure that I'm sure about anything
So if I don't know, how do I write what I feel?
How can you be sure of my answer?
You can't
And neither can I
I believe the truth is,
I write
Because it is all I can do
With the strings of words I generate
Trying to figure out exactly what
Is going on inside my head
