America considers the men that were in the Irish Brigade that fought at Fredricksburg during the Civil War to be some of the bravest men he had ever known or seen. They fought on, knowing that they were firing at their fellow Irishmen and Americans, but they pressed on. Since then, America has never underestimated his Uncle Ireland or any of his Irish immigrants again.
