After the dissolution of the Kalmar union in 1814, Denmark missed Norway and Sweden so much that he would sometimes have hallucinations, thinking he saw then when they weren't really there. He had vivid dreams of when they were kids every night and always woke up crying. He can never forgive himself for driving them away.
