She released it and clipped it back into the holster.

No one noticed these slight movements.

An old man appeared in the doorway.

"Jesus, you're back-- with guests," the old man exclaimed.

Katie's internal BS radar was beeping rapidly.

Katie could tell that something was off about this guy.

"Everyone, this is Gregory. He keeps the trains running on time here," Jesus introduced him.

"I'm the boss," Gregory said with a chuckle.

"Well, I'm Rick. We have a community--" Rick started.

"Why don't y'all go her cleaned up, hmm?" Gregory suggested.

"We're fine," Rick said, annoyed.

"Jesus will show you where you can get washed up. It's hard to keep this place clean," Gregory said, stepping closer to Rick.

"Yeah, sure," Rick sighed.

Katie was frustrated.

Who gave this guy Gregory the right to dismiss us like that? Katie thought to herself, angrily.

"Follow me," Jesus sighed.

Katie and Maggie were walking next to each other up the stairs.

Rick turned his head slightly to speak to them.

"You two get washed up first. You'll talk to him," Rick said.

"Why?" Maggie asked.

"Because I shouldn't," Rick said.

"And you think I should?" Katie retorted.

"You have a way with words, Katie. I need you in there. Maggie too. You guys are a dynamic duo. If you guys can't get to him, no one can," Rick said.

"Well, aren't you just a tall glass of sweet tea," Katie teased.

Rick smiled at her, grabbing her hand.

Jesus led them to a large bathroom.

Katie and Maggie went in first.

They quickly washed their faces and fixed their matted hair.

Katie pulled her tank top down slightly, making sure her boobs looked perfect.

"Really?" Maggie asked, stifling a laugh.

"This is my back up plan. Men have a tendency to miss my eyes and then give me what I want," Katie said, a smirk playing on her lips.

Rick and Glenn were waiting for them outside.

"Good luck," Rick said to Katie quietly, holding both of her hands.

"Thanks, darlin'. I don't know how this is going to go. This Gregory character seems like a total asshat, if you ask me," Katie sighed.

"I know. But he has food and tons of it. We have to try our best," Rick said quietly.

"I'll try and be on my best behavior," Katie said sarcastically, winking.

Rick rolled his eyes playfully.

He kissed her quickly on the lips and she and Maggie went down the stairs back towards Gregory's office.

"Good cop, bad cop?" Katie asked quietly as they went down the stairs.
