Breakdown

Back in the prison courtyard, the group was reunited with Herschel and Beth.

The Greene family hugged each other tightly.

When Beth saw Rick walk up, she ran up and hugged him and kissed his cheek.

Rick awkwardly put one arm around her.

When Beth kissed his cheek, Katie gagged internally.

She oddly got very angry and borderline jealous.

"Go on," Rick told the group.

"Katie, would you mind going and checking on Judith?" Rick asked as she walked in.

"Of course," Katie said with a smile.

She walked inside the cell block and found Judith in her makeshift crib.

She picked her up and Judith cooed.

Katie smiled and giggled.

"Hi, Judith!" Katie said in a gentle voice.

The baby reached out a hand and touched Katie's nose.

Katie laughed and smiled.

Herschel came in with Rick.

Rick walked quickly into the other cell block.

"What's going on?" Katie asked, worried.

"Some people got into the prison," Herschel said quickly.

Katie was shocked and confused.

Rick walked back out a few seconds after he went in.

He walked up to Katie, Carl, and Judith.

He smiled as Katie placed a sleeping Judith into his arms.

She immediately woke up and started crying.

The sound seemed to put Rick in some sort of trance.

"You okay?" Katie asked.

"Rick?" Katie asked again.

He was unresponsive.

"I-I uh I'm fine," He finally answered.

"Take her would you," Rick said, handing the baby to Katie.

"Are you okay?" Katie asked.

"Yeah, yeah," Rick said quickly.

Katie didn't believe him.

Katie was worried about Rick's state of mind.

She walked up the stairs where Carol and Beth were doing laundry.

They were talking about Daryl.

"Is there anything I can do to help?" Katie asked.

"Go out and make Daryl come back," Beth said.

"I meant the laundry," Katie said sadly.

"Daryl's not coming back. He lives by a code. In that code, his brother comes before all else. We have to let him go. We can fill in the pieces and gaps and try to fill his shoes. Even if we can't, we still have to try," Katie said.

Carol nodded in agreement.

"Why don't you go check on your sister and Glenn," Carol suggested.

Beth skipped downstairs.

"She's still so innocent," Katie said.

"It's nice," Carol said.

"It's dangerous," Katie snapped.

"Rick wants me to train everyone. We are going to war and soon," Katie said looking down at the people below.

"I hope he lets Tyreese and his friends stay. We need the number and they're pretty capable," Carol said.

"We'll just have to wait and see," Katie sighed.

Katie took Judith down to the cell and let her sleep. Then she went to join the group in the other cell block that Tyreese and his group were in.

Rick didn't want them there.

All of a sudden, Rick started having a mental breakdown.

He was screaming and shouting and he took his gun out.

"Rick there's no need to--" Katie started.

She was cut off by Rick taking an aggressive step towards her and Carl.

She pushed Carl behind her to block him. She held him back there as Rick continued to yell and scream.

Katie's heart was pounding.

Tyreese and his group ran out of the cell block.

Katie sighed.

They really needed Tyreese and his group.

She didn't question Rick, however.

If Rick thought this was the best call, then it is the best call.

Katie was worried about Rick.

She took Carl back to the cell.

Rick didn't follow them at first.

Carl was silent. He was very scared.

She tucked him into the bed and then got on the bunk below him.

She didn't want the kids to be alone.

She had been sleeping in the cell with the Grimes ever since she assumed responsibility of the kids.

Rick came in about ten minutes later. He got on the other bunk bed silently.

Katie waited until he was asleep before falling asleep herself.
