Ten years later
It had been a hectic year for all of them. Lin had decided that Sayo was old enough to come to Republic City and train in metalbending with her. Korra had taken her waterbending test. Sayo had taken her earthbending test. Saura had gotten the symbol of the Air Nomads tattooed on the back of her hand, signifying her mastery of the element. Now Korra, Saura, and Sayo were fourteen and changes were approaching like an incoming freight train.

Korra started learning the proper way to earthbend. Her new teachers had entirely different methods and were tougher than Katara ever could be.

Sayo was about to go to Republic City and attended school there, while training with Lin of course.

Saura was going to see the world on her sky bison, Yuko, who she had trained ever since one of the Acolytes brought him for her when she was six.

Lin had seen her daughters only on rare occasions when she had time off from work. But nevertheless, Sayo and Saura loved their mother dearly and completely understood their paternal situation.

Everyone had grown during these ten years.

Korra was still stubborn at times, hotheaded on occasion, but cares for those she loves deeply. Her hair was still in it's signature ponytails and her outfit had changed little. She was strong and independent and just, Korra.

Sayo was a kind person who, to a stranger, appeared shy and reserved, but once you got to know her, was the weirdest, most amazing person you could ever meet. She could also be a total fangirl without warning. Now, her pale skin and blue-green eyes were accentuated by her shoulder-length brown hair which she sometimes wore in pigtails. She wore an outfit like Korra's, but the tank top was green, and metal armor covered the top of her torso and metal gauntlets were frequently present on her forearms.

Saura was sarcastic and snarky to almost everyone, but she had a sweet and caring side which she shows to a lucky few that had managed to wiggle their way through the cracks in her walls

Saura was sarcastic and snarky to almost everyone, but she had a sweet and caring side which she shows to a lucky few that had managed to wiggle their way through the cracks in her walls. She could also be cold and untouchable when she wanted to be. She mainly wore her dark hair in a large bun on top of her head, with two strands framing the sides of her face. Sometimes her black mane would be cascading down her back, but it always managed to bring out her violet eyes and pale skin. She also had a strong connection with the spirits.
