Turning Left

A/N

For those of you who are new to this book and haven't read Choosing wrong just a little recap:

In the previous book, Emily Dufon moves from Chicago to New York City after catching her 3 year boyfriend cheating on her on their anniversary (I know, very cliché). Feeling heartbroken, she moves to NYC and gets a job at Miller Industries, a multinational corporation recognised by the world, whose CEO is the arrogant Logan Miller. Emily starts her job at Miller industries at the IT department, where she meets her new best friend and co-worker Jordana DiLaurentis. A few days into her work, her ex-boyfriend, Deklan Johnson pays her a visit begging her to take him back, but she obviousley decclines, kicking him out. That day she decides to walk home to clear her mind, on her way she comes accross an abandonned street where she sees three men with ski masks kill a man in middle of the street. The three men catch her after hearing her gasp, and they start chasing after her. Luckily she gets away but the three men, who then we find out work for criminal Logan Miller go after her to kidnap her. Emily wakes up in the lair of Logan and his crew that consists of Austin Fisher, Adam Fisher (Austin's cousin and the technitian of the pack) and Jack Jones. Emily realises that her boss is a criminal and freaks out. They keep her hostage and Emily attempts at escaping several times but she fails every time. Eventually she is taken with the boys one day on a mission which takes a turn for the worst. Logan pays Ashton Wells, another criminal, a visit to recieve money from an illegal business transaction. Ashton fails to pay and starts attacking the crew, in the process Logan ends up taking a bullet for Emily and she manages to exctract the bullet from his chest as repayment for saving her life. In the next chapter we are introduced to Joseph Dufon, Emily's twin brother who Emily had witnessed been murdered by some people. The boys make the announcement that Ashton was going to be at a ball held by his father and the guys decide to sneak in there to capture him. By an idea given by Emily, they decide that against her will, Emily will enter the ball to seduce Ashton and bring him out and in return the boys will let her go. She agrees and in the next chapter they attend the ball together where the plan is successful. The next day Logan keeps his word and take her back to her house where we are introduced to Larissa, Emily's older sister, and a complete lost cause. Draco Wells, Ashton' father then starts targeting Emily in order to get back his son, which infuriates Logan Miller since he's slowly but surely falling for Emily Dufon. After getting kidnapped for the first time by Draco, Logan saves her but then decides to stay with her to keep her safe against Emily's will of course. After being caught with him, Logan declares that he is Emily's 'boyfriend' to her sister and best friend and goes with Emily to Chicago to attend the Family Christmas Dinner held by Emily's spanish and french family. Eventually Draco gets a hold of Emily but Logan saves her, making the two characters part after Draco is killed. 

In the second part of the book, Logan Miller is notified that Joseph Dufon (Emily's dead brother) was spotted alive not too long ago and was being held hostage by Logan's enemy criminal Gang, Deklan Johnson's gang. Also, Emily's ex-boyfriend. After talking this out with Emily, they both come to terms with the fact that Deklan only used Emily as the tech girl he needed, infuriating Emily further. Emily is determined to save her brother and tells Larissa of the truth. Eventually they all team up and come up with a plan. The crew help the girls get their brother back and the girls expose Deklan by working undercover with him. Emily takes Deklan 'back' and gets all the information she needs to expose him. After finding the location to Josephs location, the boys try to find a way to get him out. Meanwhile Logan tells Emily about his harsh past and takes her to visit his mother who is a rehabiliation center after suffering a rough past with Logan's father who Logan killed. Jordana and Adam and Larissa and Jack eventually get together, making Emily more confused than ever about her feelings for Logan. Eventually, they rescue Joseph, and expose Deklan. 

They part again, but Deklan soon goes after the gang, and exposes Logan too, making the FBI go after Logan too. They all escape through different paths, trying to get away from Deklan and the police. After getting away from Deklan once, Emily and Logan finally kiss, accepting their feelings for each other. But it isn't long before Deklan attacks again, and kills Austin. A raging Emily hold up her gun and shoots Deklan in the head, killing him instantly. 

They all go their separate ways and even after Logan's protests, Emily decides to stick to Logan, beginning their journey on the run!! 

Hence, Turning Left picks up on the characters life's on the run and the obstacles they have to tackle now!!
