Minutes later, Ceaser and his dad returned to their table and Ceaser felt a slight panic.

Where was she?
Had she decided to leave?

"Son?" Selene noticed the worried look on her son's face.

He turned to look at her.

"You should go check on your lady friend. She's been gone a while." Selene suggested.

"Gone?" He asked.

"To the Ladies room." Selene answered, "She probably got lost on her way back."

He gave his mum a brief nod and went in search of Jules.

Ceaser climbed the stairs and walked down a corridor leading to the ladies. He passed what seemed to look like a balcony stopping short when he caught her scent.

Vanilla.

He would know that scent anywhere.

Retracing his steps back to the balcony, he pushed the flowing curtain aside immediately spotting her silhouette in the moonlight. He quietly walked towards her, her scent drawing him towards her like a moth to light.

There she was, with that killer gown. He swallowed hard when he saw how low the back was. Her skin was flawless and the arch of her back was calling his name, her skin begging to be touched.

He watched as her shoulders lifted as she breathed. She put her arms around herself and rubbed; she was getting cold.

How long had she been here?

He walked up to her taking his jacket off.

"What are you doing here alone?" He asked as he placed his jacket on her shoulders, his nearness sending ten times the goosebumps through her skin than the cold gave her.

She shivered as his large hands rubbed her arms over his jacket warming her up.
"Thanks." She said avoiding the question he asked.

"You've been gone for long." He said staring at the fountain in the middle of a garden below them.

She sighed because she didn't know what to say.

"What's the matter, Jules?" He asked.

"Nothing, I just needed some fresh air." She forced a smile.

He sighed, and for a few seconds, they didn't say anything. Just enjoyed the comfort the silence brought.

"I'm sorry you had to find out like that. I wanted you to hear it from me. But to be honest, I wasn't sure if I was ever going to tell you."

Jules knew what he was talking about and she was a little sad that he hadn't considered anything long term with her. She was fine dating him for now, but what was he planning on doing when things moved further.

Was she just someone he wanted to date and ignore when he felt like it?

She couldn't believe she was allowing herself to believe whatever was going on between Ceaser and her was something, anything.

Guess she missed having someone to depend on.

"It's ok." She said, "It's not a topic for a first date or a second...or any date." Her eyebrows furrowed "If what we've been doing is even considered dating."

"Hey." Ceaser turned her around to face him "I have loved every second of being with you, and yes we've been dating. I've just never considered discussing my past with anyone before."

"That's fair considering I haven't told you about my past either. We can't let other people's reasons be the reason we tell them something. It has to be because we want to."

Ceaser felt guilt hit him hard as he already knew everything there was to know about her, he had her at a disadvantage which was part of the plan but what was with the guilt eating at him?

"I made a mistake." She confessed and Ceaser looked confused.

"What mistake?" He asked.

Jules looked down as she played with her fingers "It's been a while since I 'dated' anyone and I guess I put too much hope in you..." she looked up at him "...in us, at least whatever was-is happening between us." She paused. "I forgot what it was like to be taken care of, to have someone else be there for you. When you started coming over, I thought you could be that person. Well, I hoped. Then when you didn't show up for a while, I was so sure you'd given up. It hurt a little cause I was already relying on you even though I didn't want to, not for me but for Ivy. It hurt even more when Ivy said 'Dada' every time."

"I'm sorry about that. I just had to clear up some things" He said.

"See?" Jules said frowning "I shouldn't make you feel like you're responsible for Ivy, or me, or anything relating to us. You shouldn't feel obligated to us or feel sorry when you can't be there for us. You have a life of your own and I just have to let what my brain knows to sink into my heart."

"Listen to me and listen to me good." He grabbed her arms and took a step closer "I'm apologizing because I need to, not because I think that's what you need to hear. I stayed away because I needed to figure out the way I felt about you."

Jules stared at him in shock and she swallowed hard.

"Yes, Jules. You're not the only one that feels the pull when one of us is near. This may have started out wrongly but..."

Wrongly?
What was he talking about?

"...I like where it might lead."

Jules didn't know how she got so close to him and into his arms.

"Ceaser, if you're saying this because you pity me, you don't even..." Jules was silenced with his lips on hers.

She gasped in shock from the contact of their lips. His lips were soft but possessive and rough. At the same time, it was slow and passionate. He bit her lower lip and she moaned at the shiver it sent all over her. He pulled her closer and plunged his tongue inside her mouth, his tongue moving in sync with her tongue. She moaned from the contact of it. His hands roamed beneath his jacket, over her naked back sending waves of desire through her, her hands were behind his neck pulling him closer, if it were even possible. Her fingers tugged at his hair and it earned her a groan from him.

When they couldn't hold it any longer, they pulled apart gasping for air.

"Ceaser..." it was all she could get out of her mouth with her mind all messed up.

She felt his lips on hers again, but this time it was slow and not rushed like the first one. He pulled away slowly and placed his forehead on hers. She closed her eyes and sighed in contentment.

"Does that clear all your doubts?" He asked, his mind still jumbled from the kiss they just shared.

She nodded her head.

"We should get back," Ceaser said. "My mum would be wondering where I went in search of you." He smiled.

She smiled and withdrew from him pulling his jacket off her and handing it back to him. They made their way back inside with her hand in his.
