A/N: This is my first Author's Note for Ice Cold so I hope nobody minds!

I just wanted to say I hope you're enjoying and feel free to leave a comment and vote! I'd love to see what all of you think!

Nonetheless, I'm sorry for taking so long to update. School started back and this is the first time I've had wifi in a while.

But here is an update!

Enjoy guys! :D

When we got to school I got out the car in a daze. I was still lost in thought. I wondered into the middle of the parking lot and glanced up. There were multiple people giving me curious glances and others that I knew better were giving me worried glances.

Hayden showed up at my side, placing a hand on my back, he guided me towards the door. Hayden ignored the glances cast his way as usual as we walked inside. I kept thinking of everything that had happened in the past week. I didn't know how I could face Connor again after what happened this morning. I didn't even know if I could face Jade at the moment without spewing everything that had happened to her.

"Is she okay?" I heard someone ask beside me and I heard Hayden give an answer but I didn't hear it.

I still felt Hayden's hand on my back in a comforting gesture. I tried imagining Connor's hand there instead and debating whose hand I wanted there the most. This, of course, didn't work. It only left me with more questions.

"Lex," someone said my name for what I thought was the third time with a familiar deep, caring voice before I looked up at them.

I looked up at Connor. He was looking down at me with dark, caring eyes. His eyes appeared to be almost dark brown inside, but I knew the amber-gold his eyes shone when he was outside when the sun glinted off of them. He said something else but I didn't hear him. "What?" I asked.

"What's wrong?" He asked, placing a hand on my forearm.

I guiltily thought back to what happened between Hayden and I. Then I thought back to the kiss I had with Connor. I looked back up at Connor who had a confused, yet sad expression and I wondered what caused him that. Then I remembered he was a full-blood and he could control my mind if he wanted to.

Could he see inside of my mind too?

Connor's eyes flashed red for a second before his normal eye color returned and I looked around to see if anyone else had seen him. I noticed Hayden still standing beside me, closer than normal, and his hand was still on my back. I realized that I hadn't answered Connor's question and I looked back over him, but he wasn't looking too good himself.

"I'm okay, I guess, but... what about you? You don't look okay," I said, finally coming back to the real world.

Connor looked at Hayden, barely containing his vampire side, "you kissed her?" He asked and a couple heads turned to look at him. This was the first time I'd seen Connor angry instead of trying to keep his calm. Somehow, his angry side scared me more than his calm, angry side. I knew Connor wouldn't hurt anyone when he was still calm, but he was unpredictable when he lost that and he let his anger control him.

The rest of Connor's clan, that were at their lockers, turned and looked at Connor. I was guessing they heard him and could sense his anger. Connor's outburst also answered my question. If he wanted to, he could see inside my mind to see what I was thinking about.
