(Autumn) Chapter 28

"U-Uh..." The little girl was fidgeting. "I-I'm...S-Shuuten."

"Shuuten, huh? That's a very powerful name but it fits you," she pats the little girl's head. "Say, Shuuten-chan, where are your parents?"

"I-I don't know," she began tearing up. "M-Mommy suddenly got lost."

'Got lost?' Hinako laughs internally. 'How cute. Although, she thinks that her mom got lost and not her.'

"Hey, why don't we go find your mommy? Is that okay with you?"

Shuuten takes one step back. "M-Mommy told me to not talk to strangers."

Hinako chuckles at Shuuten's adorableness. "I am no stranger. See?" She extends a hand for Shuuten's little hand to hold. "I can assure you that we will be able to find your mommy, Shuuten-chan."

The little purple-headed girl looks at Hinako for a few seconds, still afraid to take the stranger's hand. However, she can feel that the person in front of her has no ill-intention towards her and can be trusted.

"W-Will you really take me to my mommy?"

"Sure will!" Hinako nods. "I promise, a hundred percent!"

"T-Then..." Shuuten slowly places her hand over Hinako's hand and held it with her small grip. "Let's go find mommy!" She brightens up.

Hinako was relieved to know that little Shuuten trusts her. 

The two of them starts to walk around the arena facade and within the arena building in search of Shuuten's mom. They searched high and low but none of the faces that Shuuten has seen are her mom's.

"Hina-nee, I'm tired," Shuuten said as she stops walking.

'H-Hina-nee?' Hinako blushes as little as Shuuten just called her 'big sister'. It felt nice, like she has a little sister of her own. It made her wish that she had a little sister.

"Do you want me to carry you, Shuuten-chan?" Hinako bends to her level.

"Yes, please, Hina-nee," Shuuten nods.

"All right," Hinako turns around, facing her back at Shuuten. "Hop on."

"Thank you, Hina-nee," she climbs on her big sister's back, wrapping her arms around her neck.

"Then," Hinako stands up, holding the back of Shuuten's thighs carefully. "let's go find your mommy!"

"Let's go!"

Somewhere around the area, Gil stood firmly as he looks at the man in front of him, whose back was facing him. He doesn't know what to say nor does he know what to do. So many thoughts raced inside his mind and anger was boiling inside of him.

"Gil..." Kintoki trails, turning to look at his son. "You look well."

"Tch. Don't give me that bullcrap!" Gil yells, frustrated. "Why are you here?"

"I'm the coach of Seihai Gakuen's Kendo team. Do you need some other explanation than that?" He raises an eyebrow.

"Yes! You, of all people, should know better!" His teeth grits in anger. "I can't believe that you're here, after all those years!"

"Gil, about what happened..."

"What? What more do you have to say to my face, huh, dad? Or should I even call you that after you left me, Dio, and mom?! You... You replaced us for some bitch!"

Kintoki's eyes twitch. He got irritated as Gil referred to his new lover a bitch. "Now, listen here, Gil! Don't you ever call her that! She's not like that!"

"What? How can you fucking say that to me? She stole you from us. Do you even realize how much pain and suffering you've caused us just because of that woman?!"

"Stop it, Gil. I don't want our conversation to be like this, involving other people," Kintoki said, a hint of anger in his tone. "Don't you dare go there!"

"Don't go where exactly? How I referred to your woman as a bitch? The conniving snake?!"

"Gil!" Kintoki made his way to his son and grabs his kimono. "Take that back!"

"No! Because of her, we've broken apart. You don't know the hell I've been through!"

"And neither do you know mine! I was the one who fell in love with Yoriko and not the other way around!"

Gil's eyes widen as his father just confessed to him that it was he who fell in love with the third party, a woman named Yoriko. It wasn't the other way around. Gil can see it in his father's eyes that he was serious and honest. It pained him and wished that it wasn't true.

"Daddy!" A little girl's voice squeals in happiness.

Gil and Kintoki looks to their right and a few feet away from them was a little girl carried on the back by a brown-headed girl. It was Hinako and Shuuten.
